Pizza Lovers say: "The charred, bubbly crust and flavorful vegan ritual arts pizza are highlights. The house salad is refined, but wait times and automatic gratuity were noted."

Got the vegan ritual arts pizza, 10/10! Great chewy toasty crust & was super flavorful. Focaccia appetizer was also wonderful. Great service too!

We just moved to the area, and we were excited to try our local pizza place, they have kids items on the menu. They advertise soft serve seemed like a home run for our little ones. The service was reasonable, The food that we got was good, I really liked the house salad. I thought it was very refined for a pizza place. The issue we ran into was time, and the automatic gratuity. We sat down at 5: 20 on a Friday with about an hour to kill, my wife works nights in the ER and I needed to get my family fed and back on the road by 6:25 to get her to work on time. Conservatively, I'd say we had our order in by 5:35, but I knew we were in a hurry so I feel like I ordered as soon as we sat down. House salad, cheesy bread and a sausage mushroom pie. By 6:00 the salad had come out and I was feeling a little nervous, at about 6:05 I let the waitress know that we had to get out of there in about 20 minutes. This might be where I messed up. Maybe I should have communicated. We only have an hour when we sat down, but I didn't feel time crunch because the restaurant was only about half full when we sat down. We did end up getting the cheesy bread, but the pizza did not make it to a box by the time we had to leave. My frustration comes in that I still paid for that pizza and they added a 20% gratuity on top of it, the cashier did throw in a Rice krispie treat so clearly she understood that there might be some kind of frustration. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I should not have expected to been able to get a pizza in under an hour, but that was my expectation and it wasn't met. Will try again when we got more time.

My wife and I went in before a Blazer game a few weeks ago. Cool spot but pizza was just okay (should've been better for the price). What really got me was the rude customers service. Not only was the wait long and the cashier acted like we inconvenienced her; but we had no choice on the mandatory 20% tip (rewarding bad customer service). Owner should pay them better instead of placing that on customers who are treated poorly by entitled employees. Meh.

Red Sauce has my whole heart. Their charred, bubbly crust pies are deservedly one of my favorites in all of Portland, but the seasonally focused salads, soft serve, and Snoopy phone make our family's hearts sing.

My favorite pizza in NE Portland. The crust is perfectly charred and the sauce tastes great. On the weekends they offer lunch specials and the Italian hoagie on their fresh sourdough is delicious! It's one of my favorite sandwiches right now. It makes for a nice 'excuse' to take a trip down into Portland. Enjoy!

Never in my life I was treated by anyone in the service industry as we were by the waitress in this place. Never have I written such a bad review on any place I've been before, but I couldn't let this one get by without saying anything. Highly unrecommended.

This place was soooo slow. The salad was very good and fresh and worth the wait, but why did I wait 20 minutes to get my salad and 40 minutes to get the pizza? This is a very small restaurant. I don't get it. I didn't like the taste of the pizza either - just a weirdness going on with their sauce.

The staff was awesome. The pizza was one of the best I have had, and I've had pizza from New York to Los Angeles. Even the salad was above average. We will be going back again.

I live in the neighborhood and we have several great pizza options but Red Sauce is our go to place. It is consistently good and the staff are super friendly

My wife was craving a pizza and found this place on Yelp. The place was packed but we did get a table right away. We order a salad and a pizza. Both the salad and pizza were excellent. Very friendly waiters and great atmosphere. If you want a pizza, highly recommend this place. Enjoy.
