Pizza Lovers say: "Amazing Neapolitan dough, delicious pizza with a beautiful crust, and flavorful pasta dishes. The tiramisu was just average."

I had a lovely experience at this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was calm, cozy, and beautifully decorated. They offer a great variety of seafood pasta and other seafood dishes. The pasta and pizza were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. However, the tiramisu was just average, and I probably wouldn’t order it again next time. The servers were very kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. I would recommend making a reservation, as it can get busy. There is Green P parking located behind the restaurant, and a streetcar stop is conveniently right in front, which makes it very easy to access.

First of all the inside of the building itself is very nice, though don’t expect bar style, the Italian theming is nice. And the owner talked to me directly which was really cool, and super interesting. And the music was well themed too, now on to the pizza. The dough is the best part, with the fresh tasting tomato paste (using San Marzano of course) The crust is soft and chewy yet crispy and burnt enough. They have mastered the Neapolitan base, and they are certified so it makes sense. I got the capricciosa, and I think there was a little too much cheese, and the mushrooms could’ve been done better with presentation, the base was a 9.5/10 overall, but this particular one I would give a 8/10 on my meter. I personally think though that their bases are some of the best in the region. So try some other types. Overall though the experience this place provides is very good and the owner is super nice, highly recommend. Although big con: no Diet Coke refills:(

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! A hearty pasta dish cooked with heart, the pappardelle clings onto the creamy rose sauce that balances tang and sweetness, topped with earthy Porcini mushrooms and crisp, snappy tiger shrimp for a pleasant bite. The paper-thin wood-fired pizza has a beautiful golden crust and a whisper of smokiness underneath. The dough itself has a subtle yeastiness that brings a touch of umami, best enjoyed immediately for maximal crispness. Fior di latte adds richness, while the button mushrooms and drizzle of truffle oil introduce earthiness without overwhelming the palate. The prosciutto, thin and tender, adds just enough salt and umami to complete the dish.

We stopped by Pizza e pazzi for a weekend dinner date and loved it. We shared a nice hearty kale salad that was topped with apples, chickpeas and pomegranate, which was excellent. For our pizza we shared a fantastic goat cheese and sundried tomato, pesto pizza. The reviews are right - the crust here is amazing. Chewy and leopard spotted for the right amount of char. We both loved the pizza. Another past I enjoyed very much were the 'bread aticks' offered to dip in olive oil. These were made from the same dough as the pizzas and I absolutely enjoyed these. Very impressed by it. To end the panacotta was just phenomenal. We were both full but wow we still loved the dessert. The service we had brought the whole experience together really nicely. Our server sat us quickly and was very attentive. This definitely has a family run feel to it which makes us want to come back to try more of what they to offer. Overall a lovely Italian restaurant for that special dinner or just a weekend date night.

We love this place. On a cold March night the pizza, pasta and wine we had was perfect. Such a warm decor and the server was so helpful and attentive. We’ll be back soon.

Upon recommendation from an Italian friend and after seeing many positive reviews even from Italians, we decided to try out this restaurant. Luckily it was not a busy evening and we did not have to reserve the table in advance. The outdoor space is basically a few tables on the street with pedestrians passing in between and it feels like sitting in a busy parking lot. There is no character to the patio at all, just an outdoor space so that the restaurant can advertise “outdoor dining”. However, sadly that is the case with many other restaurants in Toronto with patios, which are very uninviting. As such, we opted to sit i doors, which looked quite cozy and quiet. Due to the wood burning oven being pretty much in the middle of the restaurant it was very hot inside. We ordered two pizzas, a bottle of water and a 5 oz glass of low quality red wine (they only have good wine by bottle). We saw some pizzas brought to the table nearby and they looked quite small compared to the real Napolitan ones. While waiting for our pizzas, the waitress brought the wine in a small decanter and literally dumped the entire content in my glass, like if she was throwing something down the toilet. Our pizzas arrived fairly quickly and they were cut in 4 pieces. Only then we understood why pizzas were that small. They do not have proper pizza plates and the pizzaiolo makes them to fit the plate. This is not a thin crust pizza. The fior di latte cheese was quite chevy (it is most likely the Canadian made mozzarella that does not taste like anything). Also the tomato sauce was very watery and acid, made of diced tomatoes. The whole pizza tasted soggy and there was lot of liquid at the bottom of the plate. There is nothing authentic about this restaurant and it is a shame that they advertise themselves for the best pizza in the city. The frozen thin crust made in Italy pizza sold at local supermarkets tastes 10 times better than this one, and you even pay 1/4 of what you would spend here. What is the most disappointing is that we paid $93 with tip for 2 pizzas, 1 bottle of water and 1 glass of wine. Earlier this summer we were in Italy and we went out one night with a group of friends for pizza. 6 of us had 1 pizza each, 4 beers, 2 pops, 1 dessert each and 1 espresso each for exactly the same amount. We don’t mind paying higher prices for good food and outstanding service, but this restaurant did not offer either of the two.

This restaurant was recommended to my wife by a friend of hers. We went for my wife's birthday dinner (we didn't tell the restaurant why we were there). We split a Caesar salad and a Pizza. Both were excellent, absolutely no complaints. The staff was very attentive refilling water regularly etc. The bread they brought before the meal was really good.

Spot on for comfort and vibe. Lovely people. All 'good' food with hot plates to boot - makes such a difference I find Specials were all good. Wine choice well matched. Strong flavours and goid sized but not over the top portions. Will certainly go again
