  Cutilisci Ristorante sul Mare is a charming spot located by a small harbor in a cozy alleyway in Catania. We had dinner in the evening on the beautifully lit terrace, which created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The food was fresh and flavorful, with a nice selection of local dishes. The staff was friendly and spoke English very well, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A lovely place for a relaxed seaside dinner.

  The restaurant is a very good choice. Avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city center, you can find yourself by the sea in a quiet area. Delicious dishes, mainly seafood-based. Well-cooked with high-quality ingredients. The staff does not speak fluent English, but this is not an obstacle. Prices are reasonable for the area.

  You would think it is a touristic trap but it is definitely NOT. We had the typical granita with brioche and it was amazing. Needless to say, the spot is just fantastic, just beside the little harbour. Definitely recommended!

  Today was an excellent local restaurant for lunch. The food selection was interesting, and the wine I chose was perfect. Check the menu QR code to see what is on the menu or if you want to drink more than a glass of house wine. As we were not offered a wine list, which, in my experience, is unusual? There were a few service issues. As we were having a sharing menu, we specifically asked our last server to serve our stuffed octopus after our pasta. There was no confusion, but both came together. I can only assume it was coming to the end of the lunch service. However, the restaurant is open all day. A slight annoyance was that they raised the sun blinds as we were the only people left, although my wife was still eating and had to move to enjoy the rest of her meal. However, all in all, it was a good experience as a ‘non-Sicilian’ in a local eatery. This restaurant is in a fantastic location with good local, fresh, tasty food. It would be wonderful to come back as a local.

  We read all of the reviews, and we decided to give this place a try. Let me say that it was a fantastic choice. Luigi, our waiter took care of us. He gave us suggestions for his favorites, and they did not disappoint! We tried a bit everything, and it was all fresh & delicious. We arrived early to get a nice table by the water. All of the locals were out enjoying the water front, and we got a true glimpse of this community. The restaurant area was kept clean, but all along the waterfront there was quite a bit of trash. It’s a shame the city doesn’t maintain this area better. Don’t let that deter you. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

  The food was amazing, so much so we came back during our 3 days mini break. Mohamed served us and was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this restaurant and the it’s excellent service. Thank you Mohamed 🫶
