We stopped here on our way home to try the "OG" Detroit style pizza. It was a birthday trip and planned as this was one of the only places we haven't visited yet. From the start the hostess seemed annoyed. She made the statement to another table that they dont schedule staffing correctly. We were told it may take a while for service and that was not the problem. The problem I had with the experience was our waitress took the order and never came back. So much lack of communication. Someone asked why the long face. . . It was because my other half had to go to the bar to get a refill; when his drink was emptied before our pizza was served. I had to ask for the ranch we ordered from someone that brought out our food. She did not know what table she was serving to. Our waitress never came back to the table. Someone else was suppose to take over our table and never came over. And frankly the only thing that tasted good was the cheese bread. Definitely not coming back.

Great Detroit pizza. This is my 3rd out of the 3 pizza place we visit this weekend. Cloverleaf is blah. Not great...Started in 1946, it is a bar and pizza place that prides itself in its family history, I got a small cheese It was good but a little on the well done side didn't put enough sauce so the cheese burned on top forming a burn bubble. Definitely the best priced out of the 3. Service was basic nothing wow.

This family-owned restaurant offers a unique Detroit square pizza experience. The service provided is truly commendable and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The pizza itself boasts a remarkably crunchy and buttery crust that is a delight to eat. While the pizza is highly recommended, the Greek salad could benefit from some improvements. Overall, it's a worthwhile dining experience for pizza lovers.

This used to be the best pizza place around. Pizza wasn't very good. My husband ordered the gluten free, he said it was not good, nothing like it once was. We won't be back unless they clean the house. It's in need of a major remodel. At the very least clean the chairs! I hope the kitchen isn't a reflection of the dining room. Sorry Cloverleaf.

We hard heard this place was where the original pizza chef of buddy’s rendezvous started after he left. This place was Amazing! First, Kari at the bar was so friendly and helpful, We had the fried cauliflower (WOW) The pizza, amazing! Crust was carmalized, cheese stringy. The bottom was crispy and the flavor of the crust was amazing. Sad to say it is way better than buddy’s. Also got the chicken Marsala, rich sauce, tender chicken, speghetini pasta and huge slices of mushrooms. Finally the cheese ravioli was out standing

Although from KY, as a salesman in the auto industry, I have been coming to the greater Detroit area and the Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant for their Detroit Style pizza for years. I have been telling everyone who would listen, including my wife, that this is not only the best pizza in Detroit, but also anywhere else in the world. Finally, after celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at Mackinac Island, and on our return trip home to KY, we were able to stop at the Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant for her to try it fresh out of the oven. She loved it and now understands why I rave about this place and it's awesome delicious pizza with the perfect caramelized cheese and sauce which makes it so goooood! She says the dough is what makes it sooooo good. This is one thing we are happy to agree to disagree on. Win/Win. This place is really special for a number of reasons: 1) Of course the pizza is the number one reason 2) Service is outstanding 3) Don't be surprised if the owners stop by your table and ask if everything is good and chat with you. 4) By yourself or with friends at the bar watching sports or with your family at a table, the atmosphere is great and enjoyable. I assume the other food on the menu is equally as good, but I have only partaken of the suds and gorged on my favorite pizza. You will have to explore the other offerings and give your opinion. Kudos to TEAM Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing like it used to be. An hour wait on food and it was still cold. Not to mention the mozzarella sticks must have been made when the pizza went in also cold .all the food on the floor In the kitchen was impressive as well. Too bad this place used to be my favorite until a few years back it’s just not what it was anymore!! Needless to say this is gonna be the last time here !
