I visited Loui's yesterday with my preschool-age daughter. We were in town from Indiana so I wanted to get her the most authentic old-school Detroit style pizza possible and Loui's came highly reccomended. It was our first time ever eating …

Have been wanting to try this place for a while and glad the parking and long wait for a table did not deter us. The ambience was great — noisy but not so loud that you had to shout across the table for your party to hear you — and the waitress was friendly and attentive despite it being a busy Saturday night. She was helpful when we asked about the sizes of the dishes and we were glad she talked us into sizing down for the salad and pizza. We ordered antipasto for the famous dressing, a small Detroit style pizza (my husband and I were barely able to finish 1 1/2 squares), and my daughters ordered a small ravioli with meat sauce and a spaghetti with meat sauce each. The crust in the pizza was crispy and the cheese pull for the stuffing was 10/10. We are normally thin crust/NY style pizza fans but this was definitely tasty. The crust dipped in the homemade ranch was also delicious. For us the stars of the show were the salad (perfectly dressed) and the spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce was slightly sweet which is how we like our sauce and they were generous with the meat. I would come back and endure the wait just for the pasta dishes! We had no room for dessert but will be fighting over who gets to eat the leftovers over the next couple of days.

Very busy and crowed. No chicken tenders or wings or potato wedges. Food was fine. No romaine lettuce. No ranch dressing. I ordered a medium antipasto salad which was smaller than i normally get. It had alot of cheese, not enough ham and Salami. The Pizza was good i just did not like the green peppers on it were raw. I enjoy the things I ordered much more at the original buddys location.

This is the original Detroit style pizza and restaurant. Pizza is delicious with crispy cheese crust and balanced sauce. Crust is fluffy. Get the bottle of canti that you can decorate yourself. Fun Greek salad was great. Fresh crispy and packed with black olives beats and feta Throw in some cheese bread sticks.....you have to order these. and you have a perfect evening of fun and great food.

Best Detroit style pizza you'll find! I love that they let you decorate a chianti bottle and hang it in the restaurant. Our waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. Really looking forward to being back one day to experience it again!

One word: Phenomenal! The cheese was ooey gooey, the crust crispy and buttery, sauce perfect! Their salad and dressing were a perfect addition to our delicious meal. The environment was cozy and the service was top notch. Price point was average. I highly recommend Loui’s. Best Detroit Style pizza I’ve had. Thank you!!!

We ordered pizza from Loui’s when we were in town visiting family. We picked up the pizza from Loui’s and enjoyed it at home. Our order was ready when they said it would be and it was correct. The pizza was delicious. It is a great example of a Detroit style pizza. The crust edges were crispy and caramelized. The toppings were generous and good quality. I can highly recommend Loui’s.

This place is amazing and exceeded our expectations on a Saturday evening! We have bookmarked this place to get a bite of Detriot style pizza. The parking lot is challenging, and we park in the lot opposite to Loui's. As we entered the restaurant, we could feel a completely different vibe with a lot of bottles hanging on the ceiling and a lot of families having conversations and enjoying their food. It felt this was a great place. We were greeted and provided a seating. We ordered mediterranean salad, Cheese Ravioli, and then the pizza. The waitress was courteous and mentioned the full house and wait times. The food came in about 30 minutes. The salad was well prepared, and we all liked it. The cheese ravioli was perfectly made, and the sauce was just right and thoroughly enjoyable and must try. Then we got the pizza, perfect crispy and cheese, and we can feel the goodness in taste on every bite. This was one of the best pizzas we had in some time. It's definitely worth the visit and hype for this joint.

Down to earth place with huge portions and an upgraded baked meatball sub. Detroit style pizza here is very different and is a lot cheesier than others. The Loui special is also worth trying but you'll definitely have leftovers. People wait in the parking lots for the restaurant to open so you know it's good!
