Pizza Lovers say: "Incredible crust, authentic Detroiter, and amazing gluten-free options. Service is friendly, and prices are reasonable, though some found the original less flavorful than the Spicy Italian."

The original Buddy’s Pizza is in an unsuspecting location but truly delivers on the quality. Incredible crust, chewy but crispy. For those looking for the original, authentic Detroit-style pizza, the Detroiter is the one to get. Friendly staff with old fashioned manners. Buddy’s is really firing on all cylinders to deliver an impeccable dining experience. And if that wasn’t enough, the prices are more than reasonable. Mon-Fri between 11am and 4pm, a good sized pizza costs only $10. Can’t beat it!

Living with Celiac Disease puts a damper on a good pizza-night… But not at Buddy’s! Buddy’s gluten free pizza is insanely good. The crust is not cardboard— it is soft and chewy and full of cheesy goodness. I’ve been to at least 6 different locations in Michigan and have had consistently excellent service and quality with gluten free pizzas. We typically order ahead for pick-up while passing through on an adventure, and it is always hot and fresh when we get there to pick it up. They are extra careful about cross contamination (gf pizzas cooked in their own foil lined pan) and they don’t cut it ahead of time. If you want it cut (I definitey do when eating on the road!) they will give you a clean pizza cutter to cut it yourself. Thank you to Buddy’s for providing a delicious and safe gluten free pizza!

First time at the original Buddy's and it was everything you hope. Warm, friendly service, great atmosphere, and great pizza. We had the original and the spicy Italian. Both pizzas had fantastic crust, but the Spicy Italian was our favorite. It had more flavor than the original, without being really spicy at all. Loved it.

Amazing service, amazing pizza and sunday. I stopped here to try Detroit style pizza, and they did not disappoint! I will definitely come back if I ever return to Michigan. Mikaela was a great server too! I got an 8 square, half Super 6 and half Detroiter. The brownie sundae was also bomb

I dont know who has the best Detroit Style Pizza but I know who had the first and I needed to go to the original location. Buddys is legit. One of my top five all time pizzas. Its the crust. Deep dish but not heavy, crispy, flavorful. The spice to the sauce and pepperoni made it that much better. Seriously, get this pizza. My mom had had a burger and said it was awesome too. Televisions everywhere and great service. If I stop back in Detroit I will be back.

Some of my favorite pizza ever. My waiter was super friendly, the atmosphere inside is old school in a really cool way, and most importantly, the pizza is absolutely great.

This is where it all started. We went there for late lunch on a Thursday. Parking next to and at a nearby lot. Entering from parking lot was kind of a work-out: up and down stairs. Place was very busy but well organized. Server and food manager friendly and efficient. Vegetarian had the Greek salad, Margherita pizza and a beer. Foodie, who wasn't feeling well, had soup, drank tea and nibbled on the pizza. Clean restroom.

My wife and I were told that this is the place. We were told right! This place is very historic. Our server Felicia is a real gem, that should be treasured. We had the antipasto salad and a Detroiter. The salad was amazing and not over dressed. The pizza was some of the best pizza of my life! I am so glad that we ate here. Just go!

First time trying Detroit style pizza and we knew we wanted to try Buddy’s. We weren’t totally sure what to order, but luckily Dejuan our server was incredible! He gave us wonderful recommendations, great service , and he was just fun! We had a delicious meal and a great time. We had 2 different kinds of pizza and the famous antipasto salad and it was all so good! So much so that we are going back tomorrow for more! And the manager Rondah stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and we let her know how happy we were with our entire experience, a true testament to what a great job she is doing running everything! We also loved that this is the original and has a cool mural outside and such a great ambiance inside! If you are in Detroit this is the place to be!

We went to the original Buddy's Pizza on Conant St in Detroit, and we absolutely loved it. My favorite was the Margherita pizza; others had pepperoni. The crispy cheese on the crust was amazing. Seriously the best pizza on the planet. The 4 square size was big. Their salads were also delicious, and the individual size salad could serve 2 of us. Service was excellent. Parking in their lot. Wish Buddy's was in Seattle! Please open a location in West Seattle!
