We were in the mood for pizza, but wanted something different from the pizza chains. This was our first time ordering from Red Wagon Pizza it was amazing! The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was bursting with flavor, and the toppings were fresh and generous. Will definitely be ordering from here more! Highly recommend to all pizza lovers! Two problems with order Door Dash used no bag the food was cold. No green goddess sauce for wings I ordered.

Red wagon was an amazing experience! The pizza is delicious , the service is impeccable and my kids loved the scavenger hunt. I loved seeing the owners hands on in the kitchen and the staff very very welcoming. Would dine here again.

Here’s another that I’ve taken way too long to review. Their pizza is always delicious, the staff is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is fantastic. Add in the ridiculously good Happy Hour deal that we just took advantage of and this place is an easy 5 stars. If you’re in the area, find your way to Red Wagon soon!

My boyfriend and I went on a date night to Red Wagon and shared a salad, pizza and wine. My boyfriend had the Red Wagon pizza, I tried the PSO and we split the Italian salad. The pizzas were delicious, we loved them and cannot wait to go back and try more. The crust was delicious without being too doughy The sauce was perfect. I would not change anything. The salad was great, I love Italian chop style salads. We asked for no olives. There was a bit too much feta on the salad for me but it was delicious! The staff were very kind and quick to help. It was a comfortable space and we were sat quickly. There were a lot of families with children and large parties but still comfortable for us a couple. The owner was there have a meal with his family and friends. My boyfriend stopped him to chat and he was very kind and friendly. Red Wagon is a comfortable, delicious and community oriented restaurant and I’d 100% recommend in the future. Can’t wait to go back!

Red Wagon is still amazing. I am writing an updated review because the restaurant has expanded. I'll start off my old tips. Parking is not easy. If you are lucky enough to park in their parking lot, buy a lottery ticket. It is that rare. If not, don't park on Penn Ave. Park somewhere on 54th because it will be less stressful. Trust me. Regarding food and beverages, it is still amazing. Now they have become really good at salads and Italian food. Their meatballs, lasagna, and house Italian salad will blow your mind. This means if someone does not want pizza (crazy), they be extremely happy. We ordered my two favorites (P.S.O. and Red Wagon Pizza). I fight everyone for the last 2 pieces of pizza. Here some other comments. The service is amazing...like always. Now you can host huge parties. Check out the new pictures of their expanded space. They did an amazing job. I know nobody wants to talk about the bathrooms, but they are so clean. Thanks to Red Wagon for always being the best. I can't wait to walk down for dinner.

The food itself was great! We got the Red Wagon Pizza and the Carl the Cuban pizza. Both were great! And the beer selection was vast. But two things gave me pause. There were a ton of ants in the restroom. And the parking lot had a sign that said to be careful, but it was a thief car break-in area. Car turned out safe. But it was alarming.

It was a 10 out of a 5, had Carl the Cuban and Bama Q. Both great pies! Great neighborhood pizzeria and hangout. Will definitely be back!

Super nice person took my reservation on the phone. Had heard great things and was excited to get there. Well, the table outside they had for the three of us was small, so we moved over to the community table with a tree and were the only ones there. The table was dirty, there were dead bugs from the tree that dropped down. The waitress was lethargic at best. I felt like an imposition. Tried to upsell us but it was hot out and we all just wanted water with our pizza, and she looked disappointed. The menu had all kinds of pizza ingredients I ha never heard of. I am a very adventurous eater, and was excited. We ordered "The Red Wagon Pizza" featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives. It isn't traditional, and it isn't very good. I understand that pizza places like to be different, but the crust was super thin and had cornmeal in it and tasted gritty. It hadn't risen under the ingredients. The flavors were just weird. Like I said...I am an adventurous eater but this just didn't sing. I like a really good Italian pizza, with lots of garlic, oregano, and fabulous chewy crust, onions, fennel sausage, cheese that is almost juicy when bit into. I wish I could find such a place in Minneapolis. The bus person finally brought us our waters. After the pizza was delivered, the waitress came by to try to upsell us desert, and looked irritated that we didn't order. Then I had to wait awhile for my check. Won't be back.

2024: It took longer than expected, but we finally made it back in person! A repeat visit to Red Wagon Pizza Company for us last weekend, and to top it off, we finally got a chance to meet and talk to Peter Campbell, the owner. The Carl the Cuban pizza is named in honor of Carl Ruiz aka Carl the Cuban, who passed away much too soon (God must've been looking for a hilarious guy that could cook up some awesome food). We first ordered the Carl pizza online during the covid deal...it's freakin awesome!!!! Peter was gracious with his time, and it was great to get a chance to say Hello. Watch for him on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives...Guy's Grocery Games...and soon on TripleD Nation!!!

Lovely patio in a characterful neighborhood. The interior is also pleasant with upscale casual ambience and big bright windows. We enjoyed happy hour drinks and found the somewhat spendy dinner worth every penny. Thin crust pizza dough had a perfect chewy texture and toppings were of high quality. Our server was mature and professional… friendly and attentive enough without being obtrusive. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and highly recommended.
