Pizza near Willis Tower

Willis Tower rises 110 stories above the Loop. Completed in 1973 as Sears Tower, it held the world’s tallest-building title for roughly 25 years. Skydeck visitors enter from Jackson Boulevard, then move through the museum, elevators, observation floor, and The Ledge on the 103rd floor.

A visit often takes around 90 minutes to two hours, but elevator lines and the short timed turn on The Ledge make the exit unpredictable. The Jackson Boulevard door matters: it puts you south of the river and closer to Union Station than the office entrance on Wacker Drive suggests.

Go east or northeast for central Loop pizza, west for Union Station and the West Loop, or north toward the river. Pizano’s Pizza offers a classic Chicago sit-down option, while Bonci works for Roman-style pieces farther west. Lou Malnati’s fits a deep-dish plan when you have time to wait for the bake.
