  Visit date: November 28 2025 My boyfriend and I had a reservation for after 7:00 PM on November 28, but we still had to wait about 20 minutes before being seated. When we were finally taken to our table, the host placed us in a very small area that was uncomfortable and impractical, especially with our personal belongings. I politely went back to the host to explain that the table was too small for us. Shortly after, I noticed several other tables nearby had already been cleaned and were clearly available. I returned to the host and asked if we could be moved to one of those tables, but he refused. This felt very disappointing and unaccommodating, especially since the tables were empty and ready. Unfortunately, the food experience also had an issue. Our appetizer — the boneless chicken wings — was extremely overcooked. The waiter still served them despite how dry and tough they were, which was unacceptable. Later in the evening, some of our belongings went missing, and no one on the staff was able to help us locate them, which added to the frustration. That said, I do want to mention that the pizza itself was delicious and truly enjoyable — it was the highlight of our visit. Overall, this restaurant has great pizza, but the customer service needs improvement, especially when it comes to listening to guests’ reasonable requests and handling food quality and lost items more carefully. I hope management considers training hosts and staff to be more attentive and flexible with customers in the future.

  I wanted to try this pizza so bad while visiting Chicago for the first time. We tried several locations and all were booked up and seating only for late at night. This was around noon. Since we couldnt get a reservation for a decent time, we ordered a pie to go while heading out of state. I dont remember what we ordered, but it was very spicy! Excellent pizza but would order a different kind next time. My boyfriend parked the car on the road while I ran in to get the order. I couldnt even walk in the door, it was packed with so many people. It was crazy!

  Fantastic Chicago-style deep dish pizza! We had to stop at Lou's when in Chicago, and it was my wife's first time trying deep dish pizza. The deep dish we shared was fantastic with an amazing crust. I also had an Italian Beef Sandwich that was delicious and hit the spot when in Chicago. The atmosphere was great, and I only believe it would be better when the weather is nicer! Make a reservation because this place is worth it!

  Lou Malnati’s Gold Coast location was absolutely amazing, and Michael made the entire experience even better. His service was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made sure everything was perfect and added such a warm touch to our visit. The food was incredible, and Michael’s excellent service truly elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

  It’s my first time trying Chicago deep dish pizza. There’s two things i generally don’t like of pizza -sausage and pizza edge (always don’t eat edge parts) however Lou Malnati made so amazingly, i even like the edge, so crusty and their sausage slightly smoky, i loved it. Their sauce is also another level. I’d give 10starts if it’s possible.🤩

  They have the best deep dish pizza in the city. It was so delicious. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. Price is reasonable. The staff were all wonderful, too. I would love to come back for more.

  Well I had never had it and heard so much about the buttery crispy crust of Chicago deep dish pizza so I ordered delivery to my Palmer Hotel immediately upon arrival. So pleased they brought it right to the lobby. My flight was late due to thunderstorms so I was very grateful to get this close to 10pm. Delicious and savory and yes, buttery crispy crust which I found delightful. Yum!!
