What a wonderful idea! You can buy pizza by the inch. That means you can choose as many of the delicious flavours as you'd like. The pizzas are ready-made. They seem to rotate toppings, so not everything you read about here will be available. I had three slices: pepperoni, cheese & potato, and hot honey and all of them were delicious. I had the cheese ball thing as well, which I thought would be like a mozzarella stick. Instead, it tastes much like a deep-fried ball of spaghetti, though it is made of different cheeses and tomato sauce.

A must visit pizza place in Chicagoland. Probably the most crispiest pizza crust I ever had, which they somehow manage to cut with scissors with so much ease. They offer so many pizza varieties you never knew you wanted. They offer pizza slices based on weight with tavern cut, so I would suggest to order as many varieties as you can, with minimal sizes, so you get to explore all the delicious options they have.

I visited Bonci Pizzeria in Chicago for lunch during my brief trip to the city, and it was an excellent choice. I was craving authentic Italian pizza, and this place came up as one of the most recommended spots, so I decided to give it a try. The experience certainly lived up to the reputation. I ordered the Mozzarella Zucchini Lemon pizza and their veggie pizza, paired with a soda, and enjoyed every single bite. The pizzas had such fresh, vibrant flavors, with a light and airy crust that was delicious on its own. The zucchini and lemon combination was refreshing and unique, while the veggie pizza was hearty and full of flavor. The casual and welcoming vibe of the place made it perfect for a relaxed lunch, and I appreciated how the pizzas are served in Roman-style squares, letting you try different varieties in one meal. It felt authentic yet approachable, and you could clearly see the attention to quality in every slice. If you are in Chicago and looking for something beyond the usual deep-dish experience, Bonci is absolutely worth a visit. I left satisfied and would happily go back again.

This Pizza was definitely worth a try…..and I think I will most certainly return! No matter if you're on a date or with friends, this place is a great fit. However, it is definitely not Chicago deep dish pizza. This pizza has a delicious crust and is similar to focaccia. This is Roman style pizza. There are 15+ toppings you can choose from so make sure to order different ones to get the best experience. 100% recommend!

Loved this pizza by the slice! Unique crust, flavors and concept. They charge by the ounce and cut the amount of pizza you want with scissors ✂️. I always appreciate being in Chicago where they cut your pizza into squares 🟥. Go with people who like to share so you can try multiple pizzas 🍕. The pesto potato was my personal favorite, loved their classics as well as the unique twists! Bravo Bonci 👏🏽

Pizza is insanely overpriced. And the store is literally set up to scam you as to prices with no prices listed anywhere--and then staff lie about pricing. The server estimated the cost for a slice as $6. Then she rang up my single, medium-sized slice of mushroom and (dried up) sausage, and the price was just below $11! For one second rate slice! Total scam and very mediocre quality for the exorbitantly high price. Will never return. Not sure why Lakeview area of Chicago has almost no reasonably priced pizza places.

I was looking forward to this pizza, however the crust was poor, the place was moderately kept. After seeing the owner on a food program, his hype was much more than this Pizza delivered. The crust was some kind of whole wheat that never accentuated with the pizza at all. If you add Parmesan to salt the pizzas it does help to get some flavour. The pile of frozen crusts on a wheel cart let us know the pizza was not fresh made. The employees were eating food sloppily over the counter, it sure was not what I expected. Just don’t go. Save yourself.

As a pizza lover who have been spoiled with Roman cuisine, this is the closet you might get to really good pizza without a 10-hour flight. The suppli was on point and I high recommend Bonci for great Italian food. You might find it a tad pricey (as they weigh pizza by the pound), but that's how they do it in Italy too.

People, this is what this is - street food. The type that is obtained by walking up to a window at a restaurant in Rome and then walking away with a napkin-wrapped, just warm enough piece of goodness. This is not Neapolitan pizza, not Sicilian pizza, not Milan pizza and definitely not Chicago (or even American) pizza - it is a different style, and a wonderful one at that. Not so much focaccia (which is often dense) but more like bakery bread with a firm crust but light and airy body. Select the variety with your favorite toppings and walk away munching on a very satisfying version of the most perfect food category (pizza) that humanity has developed.
