Pizza Lovers say: "Amazing Neapolitan pizzas, especially the one-metre ones, and delicious creamy cacio e pepe. Some found the seating near the entrance cramped."

We visited on Friday night with a booking and the restaurant was extremely busy. From overhearing other diners and people waiting, it seems many have discovered it through TikTok and Instagram, mainly for the theatrical pastas (such as the cacio e pepe prepared tableside on a large cheese wheel) and the famous one-metre pizzas. The staff were accommodating with seating, as the original table offered to us was near the entrance, which was windy and cramped and hence we moved further inside. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of Italian dishes including many entrées, pastas, and pizzas in standard, large and one-metre sizes. We ordered a standard 11” pizza to share and a pasta each. While we didn’t try the viral cheese-wheel pasta and instead chose more traditional options, the carbonara arrived cold and gluggy, and the seafood marinara was noticeably delayed. Portions for the pastas were on the smaller side, especially given the higher-than-average pricing. The pizza, however, was excellent — thin, crispy, wood-fired and very tasty — though still on the expensive side. It was very full and noisy , and service felt rushed and disorganised, with staff frequently delivering food to the wrong tables. Drinks and desserts were also priced at the higher end. That said, it may have simply been overly busy, and perhaps the team didn’t anticipate just how much the social media hype would blow up. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but improvements are needed (simple things like table numbering would help), consistency and value for money. For two people, with one alcoholic drink , the bill came to around $150. We may consider returning in a few years once the hype settles and service improves.

It was my first visit with my family and I loved the relaxed atmosphere. It feels so cozy with friendly staff. Awsome Margherita Pizza and their pastas are the best in Sydney for me. This place is a real treat. Definately worth a visit.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited in Sydney. Almost all the food ticked all the boxes. The grilled octopus main was so good, with balanced flavour, and tender octopus 👌 We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the boss served us on the table from the cheese wheel, which I thought was just a gimmick, but that was one very simple, yet very delicious, yummy, creamy, al dente, best pasta 😍 The pizza was also amazing, the pizza base cooked beautifully, great home made dough, it was chewy yet satisfying and not tiring, the white sauce base was flavourful but not sickening, the ingredients combination was perfect, just as what the boss recommended 😋 The only disappointing thing was the Tiramisu. Had really high expectations since the mains were all exceptional. The mascarpone was creamy but very very sweet, the coffee used to soak the ladyfingers was pretty good, but it was not enough that we could barely taste anything other than the very sweet mascarpone. Unfortunately we've had so much better Tiramisu elsewhere, which was unfortunate 🥲 Still, overall experience though was 4.6/5* Very positive Will definitely come back again! That's Amore indeed ❤️ PS. Recommended to book especially on the weekend as it was very busy even at 6pm.

Dont let the slightly kitsch sign fool you - this place packs a serious 🇮🇹 punch 👊. Had the Sofia Loren pizza, beef ragu and carbonara. Flawless, authentic and great value for money.

Fantastic Thursday date night at That’s Amore in Haberfield. Friendly staff greeted us and took us through the menu. Our antipasti came out quick and fresh. Our pasta of homemade pasta with slow cooked ragu were divine. Topped off with …

Very delicious food and everything tasted amazing. The pasta and dishes were fresh and full of flavour. Service was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was good and we enjoyed our time. Only the decoration and presentation of the place could be improved a little more. Overall, a lovely experience and we would come again.

Very disappointing experience. Do not recommend. The food was genuinely awful. The pizza was sloppy with a watery, flavourless sauce, and the zucchini flowers had no flavour at all. Honestly, I’ve had better tasting sauce from a Coles jar. After one bite, we couldn’t eat any more. We politely raised our concerns with a staff member and were told we’d need to wait for the owner. After waiting around 10 minutes, he never approached us, so we had to go and find him ourselves. When we explained the issue, he immediately became aggressive, accused us of lying, and started yelling at us. He insisted we pay the full $100 bill. We refused, as we hadn’t eaten the pasta or pizza, and instead offered to pay for our drinks and the zucchini flowers (we’d had one each). He continued yelling, swore at us, said we were “the problem,” and then physically pushed us out of the restaurant while shouting for us to leave. We went to another restaurant afterwards and had a far better experience. Between the terrible food and the shocking behaviour from the owner, I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The service is great. The staff are not pushy and very helpful. We ordered from their new pizza menu and took it home as we had friends over. They all loved the pizzas and said that they were the best pizzas they have had. Even our fussy granddaughter who is almost 2 polished of 3 slices of pizza and is even eating it this morning which is unheard of for her. Congratulations on your new menu! We knew you made good pizza's but you have taken it up a notch. Well done.

This restaurant had a stall up at the Rocks markets today and the service was incredibly bad and rude. Everyone waiting over an hour, for a couple of slices of pizza. After 30 mins of waiting a few people, myself included asked for refunds knowing the pizza was at least 30 mins away from being started, but the staff said “it’s paid, no refunds”. Disgraceful service.

Fantastic date night. Wonderful atmosphere with fabulous service. It was our Friday night pizza date night and my fiancé and I travelled from the Blue Mountains to Haberfield. Our first time at That’s Amore. The pizza was very traditional and the flavours fresh. It’s nice to sit inside and be right amongst it. Watching the dough being stretched and the care taken on each and every pizza going into the wood fire. The tomatoe base for me was a stand out. Light. Fresh and I’m hoping home made. It certainly tasted like it. Special mention to Sonia our waitress. The limoncello was delicious. Will certainly be back
