  Nice atmosphere and a good variety on the menu, but the pizzas were just ‘okay’. We visited on a Thursday lunchtime, and there was only one other table there at the time - the food seemed to take forever to come out, I was wondering if we’d have to go and cook ourselves at one point…. This was the first restaurant we visited in Bologna as it was near our accommodation and our host recommended it. Unfortunately the pizzas were very bland and lacking flavour, the dough was a bit soggy and hadn’t been cooked for long enough. The interior was nice, it was a bit like being in a huge wine underground wine cellar. The staff were so so, not rude but not hugely friendly either.

  We have been to several restaurants in Bologna and this one has us coming back again. The food is amazing, the menu has English along with Italian and the service is awesome. Sophia was our waitress along with a friendly waiter. Even though we were stuffed with delicious food. We ordered the tiramisu that was to die for. Adding a photo of the last bite of melt in your mouth lasagna and a photo of Sophia with us. Oh, and If you are looking for a nice red wine try the Pinot Nero from Trentino.

  Nice place, seems local, not sure. Maybe the portions could be a little bit larger. The pasta was cold, but the Ragu sauce was hot, pizza did not have the basil on it.

  We split pizza and pasta and both were PHENOMENAL. There was an option for the pizza we’d never seen before! “Grana Arso” flour used in the pizza crust. It was SO TASTY. Come to Bologna and visit La Verace!!

  The food was delicious, no doubt about that. However, the service was disappointing. We were four people, we ordered three pizzas and one pasta. We ordered bruschetta as a starter, which arrived after about 30 minutes. After that, we waited another 30minutes for our main dishes, while other guests who ordered after us got their food within 15–20 minutes. When we asked why it was taking so long, we were told our order needed more time, but since we only ordered pizza and pasta like others customers, this explanation didn’t make much sense. The waiter didn’t feel friendly either.
