We went for dinner for the first time with my boyfriend and loved it! We ordered the octopus to start, which came with some amazing bread, and for our main dishes we had the lingcod fish with a delicious green salad and the mushroom pizza. Everything was really tasty. We also had a glass of red wine and a beer. The girl who served us was super kind and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great experience for a date night on our trip to SF. I have never, ever had a red sauce that tastes just like my Sicilian mother makes so my mind was blown. Sat outside which was a bit more bustling than we expected, however server was attentive and friendly, and the Lambrusco was amazing. Our server made sure to note any differences in the drinks and food we might not have realized from other Italian spots, and unfortunately we were just too full for desert! Will be back for the sauce, for sure.

Absolutely not recommended for a date or an important business dinner The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, a pleasant setting, and very good food. As Italian cuisine goes, they are doing a great job, and overall we did enjoy our evening here. However, several service details took away from the experience and from enjoying our company. The timing and coordination of the dishes were off: we ordered multiple plates from the kitchen, and they all arrived at the table at the same time. The table was overcrowded, we didn’t know where to start, and the hot dishes cooled down while we were still eating. Ideally, starters should arrive first, but this may have been a miscommunication. What I appreciated less was being asked to take boxes away in the middle of the meal, as if we had finished when we were still eating, and not being provided with serving spoons for shared dishes. These are small details, but they make a big difference in the overall dining experience. There is definitely room for improvement in service, attention to guests’ needs, and understanding the right timing at the table. A bit more attentiveness from both the dining room and the kitchen, as well as a warmer farewell at the end, would have been very appreciated. I’m leaving a 4-star review because I can see the effort and potential, and I truly hope the service improves over time. This was my second visit, and I didn’t expect the service to be this inconsistent. I hope next time the experience matches the quality of the food.

Food and drink were mediocre. We got 2 pizzas, meatballs, arugula salads, and a spritz. The pizzas were okay. The meatballs were probably the worst I’ve ever had. They had barely any flavor and broke apart so easily. It seems like it was made with more breadcrumbs than meat. You needed to cover them in the sauce for some flavor. The spritz I ordered: There was no hint of pomegranate, lime or rosemary like it was supposed to have. My husband tried it and said it tasted like a plain sour beer. The best thing we had was the simple arugula salad. It was pretty empty inside when we got there. Of all the seating options the host sat us across from the oven. We asked to move to the back outdoor area-but she said it’s fully booked. The whole time we were there no one took the empty table we would’ve liked. She did eventually move us over 1-2 tables from the oven. Unsure why we weren’t seated near the other patrons in the back part of the restaurant vs right by the kitchen (which also would’ve been more comfortable due to the heat). Our server was really friendly and nice while she helped us order. But, she never came back to check in on us during the meal (and neither did anyone else). When we were finished we were looking around for her to get our bill. It seemed like she went on a break as we finally saw her sitting and chatting with her coworkers. Someone else eventually came to get us our bill. A change of server mid-meal is fine, but normally you’re told who your new server will be.

We had a show to attend at 7 pm so we booked a table at 5-30 . We arrived on time& got a table promptly. We had one waiter to approach us and offered us a water . However, right after he brought us the water with ice & slices of lemon all of the sudden a different waiter comes in instead him . The lady waiter wasn’t as friendly as was previous waiter. Finally we ordered two appetizers, pizza , 2 Italian beers , heirloom tomatoes salad . The food was ok however we didn’t like the design which was horrible, it was also very loud and not cozy at all . The wine was way overpriced as well as second course . So many additional fees added to your bill . It’s horrible.

It was recommended to request the counter, and we were seated in front of the entree chef. What a treat! We watched our chicken, pork chop, and halibut entrees prepared and cooked in a wood fired oven right before us. All were excellent, with a nod to the pork chop. Staff are very attentive. The restaurant ambiance is warm and inviting, and full of energy; a perfect blend of fun and festive; but not overly loud. Very highly recommended!

I left my Gucci sunglasses at A16 and called early the next day. A staff member named Luis confirmed they were found and left me a voicemail saying they’d hold them for me. When I came in a few days later to pick them up, the manager on duty was very rude and dismissive. She had no idea about the sunglasses and simply said they’re not responsible for lost items. On the other hand, the hostess at the front was polite and tried to be helpful. Since then, I’ve called multiple times and left voicemails—no one has followed up. For a restaurant of this reputation, the lack of communication, accountability, and courtesy is extremely disappointing. I expected far better!

We were a party of 4 women. We ordered a lot. Everything was extremely bland and unremarkable. We had all been there before but not for some time. We had apps, pasta and pizzas. It all sucked. The only thing we all liked was the bottle of overpriced wine. Delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful. But you can't eat it.

Very disappointing experience for a restaurant considered top tier. Slow, understaffed service and overpriced (the BS 6% surcharge and the extremely small pour for your $18 glass of wine). Besides the final bill indicating a $76 charge for the bottle instead of the glass which had to be fixed, the Funghi pizza was undercooked and soggy. Sorry but extremely underwhelmed.
