Not only do we love visiting Newtown to eat at Gigi Pizzeria but they also catered our wedding and it was incredible! We've been big fans of Gigi Pizzeria for a few years now with them easily serving some of the best vegan Italian food we've ever had. When it came to looking for vegan catering for our wedding we had to see if we could work with Gigi's. From start to finish Marco & Daniela were a breeze to work with, creating not only a menu that would work with the space & the vibe we wanted, but down to figuring out all of the finer details from additional dietary requirements, how the food would be presented, served, as well as a seamless bump in & out of the venue. We had a lot of non-vegans and vegan food skeptics at the wedding & ever since, people have continuously brought up how much they loved the food at the wedding. We can't thank Gigi Pizzeria enough for making our day even more special and making sure everyone was well fed throughout the day. The food, people & passion for what they do at Gigi Pizzeria is always 10/10 whether eating in at the restaurant or having outside catering. If we weren't wildly obsessed with this place before, we definitely are now!

They don’t take booking but we went during Sunday dinner and it wasn’t too crowded, we got seated right away. The topping was interesting and flavourful but that’s where the positives end cause the crust was scorched. We can taste the bitterness but the waitress said that it was how they did their pizza. The gnocchi’s texture was so sticky and the tomato sauce tasted like straight tomato pulp with no seasoning.

I've been to Gigi's a few times now and they are one of my favourite pizza joints. The Sporcaccione pizza is our go-to. It's so delicious. The toppings are fresh and flavourful. Tomato base tastes fresh and light. The dough is the perfect texture. Waitstaff are generally friendly. In terms of atmosphere, it can get quite noisy so conversations can be hard and shouty. It also tends to get too warm inside which isn't great for me as I heat up and sweat easily. Peak dinner time will mean you'll have to wait for a table. My recent visit was at 6:30pm on a Friday night and we didn't have to wait.

Excellent Regina pizza (no cherry tomatoes) An example of an almost perfect pizza, confident & understated The San Marzano sauce was well balanced, the base nicely cooked, will def order again. Good music, service was adequate, no problem. QR scan; order/pay is great
