Pizza Lovers say: "Excellent house bread and a delicious Margherita pizza. The calzone crust was excellent, but the meat filling was overly spicy."

Mimi Al Forno in Laveen is one of those places that immediately makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. I started with the house bread, which was warm, fresh, and perfect for setting the tone for the meal. Simple, comforting, and clearly …

My husband and I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and shared a calzone. The calamari was satisfactory. The calzone's crust was excellent, but I found the meat filling to be overly spicy.

Worst pizza I had so far! It arrived cold and the crust was burnt on the bottom and not edible! So it was waste of money, because we couldn’t eat it:( also just 4 pieces of ham on 6 slices of pizza, so someone doesn’t get ham on their pizza slice?🤷🏼‍♀️

My kid sister turned me on to this place. I enjoy all things Italian, most especially the food! I ordered a pizza Marguerita and a glass of red. The environment is very cozy. Not at all noisy for dinner. The staff is super attentive 👍👍. Ok, so the pizza. Its was delicious! If your not familiar, a Marguerita is non complex. Mozzarella, a fresh tomato sauce and basil. I use a Marguerita as a first step to judge the care a restaurant takes In its choice of ingredients. The dough was just right, light, and crisp in the areas youd expect. The basil in this pizza really came thru, but not over done, I really like that. I'd recommend Mimi Forno to anyone looking for a nice italian dining experience.

Im not sure what’s changed with ordering with pick up but the service for pick up and even in restaurant has changed drastically. We’ve always ordered rigatoni with white sauce and this time asked to add chicken somehow ended up with linguine and chicken and no white sauce. Not sure at what point in our phone order it got mixed up but after having family bring it back home there was definitely an issue. After speaking with the manager (Leonardo) about the mistake and instead of simple apologizing or listening to the issue it somehow was our fault for mixing up the orders. Started to say that the pasta we ordered isn’t even available for dinner (we’ve ordered this before) We tried to explain there is no white sauce at all and you can tell there was minimal effort in making a simple pasta dish which is inexcusable for a 20 dollar pasta dish After saying this is definitely review worthy the manager proceeded to say go ahead and leave a 1 star it doesn’t matter to me, that explains the customer care you will be getting. Photo of the pasta shows the effort. Used to love Mimi’s but this is the third time in row there has been an issue and if the manager said they don’t care about reviews you can imagine future service.

Emely is hands down one of the best bartenders we’ve experienced! From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Her drink recommendations were spot on, and everything she made was …

Good food, without a doubt though service both times I went thrse last two weeks were just a bit off. 1st time it took a while to get someone to check in to see if anyone needed anything, they were all busy talking in the back. After 26 mins or so someone came around and i was able to ask for what i needed. Working in a restaurant myself i know how busy things can be but with how many staff was just talking and not one was keeping an eue out every once in a while was weird. 2nd time I came in for a Togo and was just stared at by 1 of the staff like i wasnt supposed to be there, ( im not sure if he just didnt hear me but he also never said anything but kept staring) fortunately another staff though saw me and I repeated I was looking to order Togo and they were extremely helpful and kind. Not a bad place but both experiences, leaving me personally not really wanting to come back. But best of luck still to their business

Excellent food and service! We had pizza, salad and spaghetti with meatballs. Italian lemon cream cake for dessert. All was delicious. Friendly, attentive service. Fun place. Wish we had found it earlier on our vacation and gone twice!

We met some folks that recommended this place to us and what a great place. R were all really taken aback by how everyone was so happy and smiling. You couldn’t miss it. Pair that with the amazing food and it was a tremendous experience.

Tucked away in a corner of a shopping center is this fabulous Italian restaurant which will leave you hoping you found it sooner. Although the dinner menu seems focused on pizzas, the small offerings of entrees were wonderful. I enjoyed the spaghetti while my dining companion had the raviolis. The spaghetti sauce was perfect in every way. Just a nice flavor of spices without an overwhelming tomato taste. The raviolis the same, prepared so fresh that I'm surprised this gem of a restaurant hadn't caught my attention sooner. Overall fantastic food and value. I will definitely be making a trip back again.
