Came for lunch while my car was being serviced nearby and ordered a slice of pepperoni and slice of sausage. Both were really good get extra napkins for the pepperoni grease!

Pizza 87 was recommended to me by a local Brooklyn lady (thanks Marjolein, I will never forget our 6 hours together on the aeroplane). And she was spot-on, the pizza is excellent. They do sit-in, takeaway, delivery, frozen – which is what makes America great (in my opinion). This needs to happen all over the UK for all restaurants. There are a few Pizza 87s in Brooklyn, we were at the Industry City one (as we were there for a conference). Ignore the décor (it’s Industry City) and concentrate on the food. Crispy delicious pizza bases, amazing tomato sauce, great range of toppings. The plain (margherita) is hard to beat. I had the calzone (meatballs and bechemel with a side of tomato sauce). Utterly delicious. I admit, being from the UK, I can’t eat pizza properly. But a lesson from the fierce looking (but very friendly) cook sorted me right out. My colleague and I went back 3 times in 2 days, this is all I need to say. That and I am now back in the UK and miss the pizza. Top drawer.

Order a whole pie or by the slice, Table 87 at Industry City is terrific if you are looking for an easy lunch option. They have a walk up counter and there are tables nearby within the complex.
