Our DCANTER team hosted our holiday party at Pupatella on Capitol Hill, and we had the best time! First of, best pizza experience ever! So delicious! They also have gluten-free options for our team. Our server, Courtney, was lovely and very friendly, KP (the manager) was super professional and amazing! They made us feel welcome and were genuinely attentive. We will definitely be back!

Food was delicious. Our server Amir was always around and made sure that we have a beautiful dinner. Highly recommend this place to taste some authentic pizza and cocktails!

Delightful local neighborhood restaurant. We enjoy the open air garden when weather is nice, and pleasant inside seats when outside is chillier. Some yummy local beers on tap, flavorful pizza flights, and the you’re feeling decadent the Nutella Angioletti Fritti.

Outstanding food!!! The handcrafted pizzas and sandwiches were amazing. The crust was perfectly baked; the selection of toppings was great. The advertised specials and end costs didn’t match, as the server didn’t explain the discrepancy. However, this was not enough to sway from patronizing the establishment again. Suggest blinds or tint in the street-side dining room, as the sun glare in the late afternoon/early evening was annoying.

The food was amazing but if you read the caption on the photo the bathroom mirror had me suspicious. I did the mirror test (look it up) There was no space between my finger and the reflection which means the mirror is actually glass that is a mirror on one side that you can see through if you are looking from the opposite side. Creeps use this to watch people. Had me scared so I didn’t use the restroom. I could be wrong but still.

Decent pizza with some other offerings (salads, meatballs). Outdoor patio seating is very nice and the overall feel on the patio is that of an Italian Pizzaria. That being said, we arrived around 8:15pm and the restaurant closes at 9:00pm on weekdays so felt a bit rushed by the staff. Even before 9pm we were the only guests remaining on the patio. The restaurant is based on Neapolitan-style, which I would think would involve guests being able to linger deep into the evening around pizza and a bottle of wine. Especially in a city where there are enough people to accommodate that. Outside of that, we enjoyed Pupatella.

If you are a European like me and have done extensive traveling to Italy, you know what the original taste of an Italian pizza is like. Well, Pupatella is so far the closest taste to the original I have found not only in DC but in the whole USA. So go try it and enjoy a mini vacation trip to Italy for your taste buds :-)

Good food and good service. We went to the Pupatella Neopolitan Pizza place in Capitol Hill. My husband and I each had the sausage & onion pizza. They are 11" and can be shared or you can order one for yourself. Crust was very good. My son had the pepperoni pizza. I had an Optimal Wit beer to wash it down. We sat on the patio because it was a nice weather on a March evening.
