The staff at the entrance a guy was super rude and shouldn’t be working assisting clients because his approach is so unprofessional denying us to enter to the restaurant even if it was half empty. Making us feel unwelcome. Didn’t even give us options to take away or reserve table for later such a bad atmosphere.

We were in Castel di Sangro for 8 days and we had dinner at Abate on 3 occasions. Not for lack of other restaurants, but because their food and wine are fantastic! We tried new menu items each time and were never disappointed! The service was excellent. Staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and even spoke English which was helpful for my wife who speaks little Italian. Then on to the food: Sublime. Their gastronomic pizza's were perfectly balanced and thought out, pure delight! We had the all the appetizers and you also can't go wrong with any of them.
