Pizza Lovers say: "Amazing cecina and wood oven pizza with a crispy yet soft crust. It can get loud and busy, and orders may take a while."

Overall great food and nice staff! Had cecina for the first time and it was delicious (although I did have to blot off excess oil for my personal preference) — perfect texture and clean simple taste. Also got the Pisan pizza which had the …

Everyone in town seems to know this place, and for good reason! Their chickpea flatbread, called cecina, is an absolute must-try. The pizza is also delicious and very cheap. It is a loud, busy spot, but that just adds to the fun local feeling.

A small, traditional Pisan pizzeria with Italian pan pizza. Not the thin Napolitan pizza (which is also nice)! If you know, then these are very tasty indeed. Served with a crispy crust and loads of tomato sauce, the pizze are made by artisans and they are all you could wish for when visiting a busy place like Pisa. Also interesting: the mottos and photos on the walls.

Montino is an institution in Pisa, full of local people because of the incredible wood oven pizza with cecina ( a flat cake made from chick peas). The traditional choice of beer would be Moretti, but they now have a wide variety to choose from.

Best pizza and cecina (farinata) of entire Italy. It takes a while sometimes to get the order because the pizza is cooked when ordered, but the result is amazing, it worth the wait. It is also really cheap (around 8 euros per person including drinks)

Really enjoyed my meal here and happy to have found it on our short trip to Pisa. I debated ordering the sausage and mushroom sandwich again immediately after having one. They have a unique chickpea sandwich and chickpea pizza that are both delicious. Service was great. They have outdoor seating and takeout.

We almost walked past it because from the outside it looks more like a place locals have known forever than somewhere you’d plan a visit to. What I liked most was how little it seemed to care about trends. No fancy toppings, no reinvented classics, just simple pizza sold by the slice and a constant flow of people coming in and out. We ended up eating standing outside and watching the street for a while. Sometimes the places you remember most are the ones that don’t try to impress you.
