The food super top rated deserves all the praises it gets but the service was terrible, the front of the house didn’t communicate with the kitchen and there were SEVERAL issues

Prologue: reserved a table for 8 people at 9:15 pm. We watched a reel on social networks where they advertised their vegan friendly alternatives. We arrived at 9:17 pm and nobody welcomed us at the entrance. At 9:30 pm we finally get welcomed in and we are told that our table has been given away because we didn't show up on time. Fine. We get another table right next to the toilet on the main floor (we had reserved the table on the terrace so no access there anymore), which is a bit smelly, super noisy because of the drying machines and a little dark. We've been told we could move upstairs during the dinner... Odd enough we don't care. Finally we get served by a waiter: we ask for vegan solutions cause not all of us are meat eaters. He says they have NONE. We ask if they have potatoes or french fries: he responds they have none. I ask if I can have a "marinara" pizza (simple tomato pizza): he responds yes. So there is at least one vegan option. We ask if they have vegan starters and he proposes "supplí" a fried ball of rice and tomato and mozzarella cheese. We explain that cheese does not fit in the vegan diet. He replies that we could have potato "crocchette" (fried ball of potatoes). We ask if they use eggs in the making of them. He says no. We ask again if he is sure they don't use eggs in the frying pasta. He says yes they use eggs. Double bummer. Oh wait: he told me they don't have potatoes for pizzas but they have potatoes for the starters fried balls? Triple bummer. My pizza arrives: nothing special. Typical Napoli style pizza with a hi border and low garnishment. Very gummy almost raw. We asked for vegetables or for some sides like simple salads: none available. We are KO. Prices? Not low. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'm an Italian who's been living in Rome for 25 years.
