I truly believe this is the best pizza place in Warsaw. The staff are always incredibly friendly, and the service is consistently excellent. One of the ladies working there speaks perfect Italian and is exceptionally kind, which makes the experience even more special. Since it was Valentine’s Day, I asked for a heart-shaped pizza, and they happily fulfilled my request. Little touches like this make the place stand out and keep me coming back.

Melio is truly one of the best pizzerias in Poland, located in Warsaw, Mokotów, and it's an obligatory stop when in the area. Their delicious pizza, paired with exquisite tiramisu and garlic olives to complement the wine, creates an unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere is wonderfully intimate, making it a perfect setting for any occasion. What sets Melio apart is the talent of Konstantyn, one of the world's top pizzaiolos, who was crowned a three-time world champion in pizza-making in 2023. His expertise shines through in every bite. If you love pizza as much as I do, visiting Melio in Warsaw is an absolute must!

On Friday evening, August 15th, we arrived in Warsaw tired after a long drive from Šiauliai, Lithuania. Our plan was to spend the night here before heading home to Ostrava. After a whole day on the road, with only a mediocre hot dog from a highway stop, we were more than ready for a proper dinner. That’s when modern technology – and my wife – came to the rescue. Armed with her smartphone, she searched for a good place near our hotel. Her choice fell on Pizzeria Melio, which proudly displayed an almost suspiciously high rating of 4.9 stars from nearly 500 reviews. That looked more than promising. The restaurant was just a few hundred meters away, located in a modern business district. From the outside, it already looked clean and stylish – no tacky signs, just tasteful design and a pleasant outdoor terrace where we gladly sat down. It was obvious the owner cared about quality and style, a good sign of things to come. The service was excellent. As soon as we sat down, we could order. For drinks, we chose homemade lemonades and non-alcoholic Prosecco, which arrived instantly. But our real focus was on the menu, where we picked two pizzas – one spicy and one cheese-based, so we could compare. The wait was surprisingly short – barely ten minutes. When the pizzas arrived, it was immediately clear that the high rating was no exaggeration. Both had fluffy, lightly charred edges with the classic “leopard spots,” while the dough looked soft and airy, with the aroma of fresh ingredients filling the air. The spicy pizza was simply divine. The tomato base was rich and authentic, the salami had the perfect kick, and the mozzarella tied everything together beautifully. The dough was exactly as it should be – thin and tender in the center, with edges that were crisp yet soft. I wouldn’t hesitate to compare it to the pizza we once had in Trieste, Italy. The cheese pizza was no less impressive. It was a perfect showcase of how outstanding ingredients can create harmony without feeling heavy. The balance of different cheeses was spot on, and it clearly showed the skill of a true pizzaiolo. The secret lies in the Neapolitan method – dough that ferments for many hours, making it incredibly light and digestible, baked at nearly 500 °C for just over a minute. We later learned that the owner has even won a medal at a world championship. The staff deserves special praise as well. Even though it was the end of a busy day, they were fast, friendly, and smiling, creating a relaxed and professional atmosphere. It was obvious that everyone knew exactly what to do – and did it with joy. Overall, our visit to Pizzeria Melio was a revelation and one of the best dining experiences of our entire trip. It was the perfect ending to a long and tiring day on the road. If fate ever brings you to Warsaw, don’t miss this place. Even five stars are hardly enough.

A good place to grab a pizza. Nothing particularly unique, but everything’s done well - fresh ingredients, generous portion (it doesn’t even fit in the frame). Just another nice spot for a pizza in Warsaw.
