  Ate a late afternoon lunch at this location (after finding it on GMaps) and had a great experience. Location was tidy and comfortable, with plenty of options for both drinks and food. Enjoyed the lasagna pizza with an add on, plus drinks, for the two of us dining. Pizza tasted great, and it was a very chill dining experience. Would recommend if you're looking for plenty of pizza options in a comfortable dining experience.

  It cost $40 in total for a slim pizza with the toppings on the side instead of on the pizza. Like who wants to add ricotta to a pizza especially during the superbowl lol. Spinach was $3 add on and was pathetic. My first time trying Chicago pizza and just expected better 🤷🏽‍♂️

  Wow! The food was delicious! Great pizzas and friendly service. There is a large variety to choose from and even two vegan options! They even offered 3 non-alcoholic beers in addition to all the alcoholic ones. Our waitress checked in on us frequently. The food comes fairly quickly. There is no rush and you can easily order another pizza if you are still hungry. The white pizza won best pizza by the three non vegans! The ambiance was fine and lights were dim. The restaurant was modern and clean. We will be back again.

  Pizza is absolutely delicious! Ceasar salad is one of my favorite. Fresh ingredients and such a. Great neighborhood spot! Staff is so friendly and attentive.

  After eating here twice, I can safely say it is in my top five favorite dine-in pizza places in Chicago at this point. They have a great selection of delicious pizzas to choose from and the option to build your own, which is nice, too. I had a cocktail on my first visit, which was a while ago but I remember it being satisfying. I will definitely be back and would like to try some other items aside from pizza on their menu. The servers are very nice too!

  We recently had dinner at Coalfire on Grand Ave. in West Town and really enjoyed their coal oven baked pizza. We dined early on a weekend evening so no problem with grabbing a table on a walk in basis. Opening hours are Indoor environs were urban modern with tables spaced nicely. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Tue-Thurs) and noon to 10.30pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. Service was very friendly. Menu features a few salads as well as a list of pizzas. They also do a build your pizza custom order if preferred. We ordered the Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder. Would also be happy to try other pizzas on the Coalfire menu.

  Went with Chicago Pizza Tours and still think about their pepperoni and whipped ricotta pizza. They spent time explaining the oven, and everything we tried was perfect. Definitely will return.

  I'm a cheese and sausage with extra sausage thin crust pizza person but a visit to Coalfire is an overwhelming experience that tests your loyalties. Located at 1321 West Grand Avenue in Chicago's West Town neighborhood, at Ogden, it is Chicago's original coal oven pizzeria with a 1,500-degree oven fueled by clean burning coal. The 14 varieties of thin crust pizza has earned Coalfire awards for the No. 1 pizza in Chicago in 2015 and 2016, Top 101 Pizza Parlors in America, Best of Illinois and Best Dishes in Chicago Dining. Alas, my wife and I didn't come for pizza. We had read where one of Coalfire's appetizers, the Meatball Dip, was one of the best starters in the city and we wanted to see if it was as good as advertised. It is. We started with a Caesar salad with romaine, garlic butter croutons and parmigiano reggiano, then indulged in the Meatball Dip, which consists of LaPryor Farm beef and veal meatballs slice in half with garlic butter, mozzarella and giardinera plus a bowl of neck bone gravy for dipping. For an entree, we shared lasagna with mozzarella, sauce, crumbled Berkshire sausage, sweet red peppers, whipped ricotta, basil and garlic. And we discovered a satisfying soft drink, Filbert's root beer and ginger ale, to wash it all down. Coalfire is open from 4 to 10 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 to 11 on Friday, noon to 11 on Saturday and noon to 9 on Sunday. Plenty of time to dip those meatballs.

  Our lunch time Sobrasade Pizza was delicious. Our server, Viktoriia, was enthusiastic and helpful. The thin crust was covered with sobrasada, cremini, red onion, mozzarella and garlic cream.

  We were there with a pizza tour, so we didn't get to order off the menu. Friendly Staff, Clean Place. The owner did show my husband and friends husband the oven and answered many questions about the oven pizza. Food was GREAT!
