At the insistence of my best friend, we stopped into Baldinucci for a few slices and gelato. He promised me some of the best pizza I'd ever have and he was absolutely right! I got a margherita NY slice and a lasagna Romana slice. Both were OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious! I also got a small pistachio gelato and it was beyond incredible! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Walked into Baldinucci Pizza Romana and was instantly transported to Rome. The crust? Perfetto—crisp, airy, and perfectly blistered in their wood-fired oven. Every bite had that signature Roman snap with a tender chew underneath. I went for the Buffalo pizza and it was Simple ingredients, flawless execution, one of my favorite Buffalo pizzas ever. My partner got the Diavola with spicy salami that packed just the right heat without overpowering the dough. Service was warm, fast, and genuinely passionate (our server even shared the story behind their 72-hour dough fermentation). The space is cozy, modern, and buzzing with energy. This is an absolute 5/5.

The food here is phenomenal. The restaurant is almost always crowded because of it. But service is excellent and the food comes out pretty fast. We got a variety of items to try and each one surpassed the other. They have a plethora of vegetarian options, which we were pleasantly surprised by. Their garlic knots are like soft warm fluffy pillows and a must eat!! Their pizzas are very good and I personally preferred them over their flatbread. Their pistachio gelato was really good as well!! We can’t wait to be back!!

I'm sorry to say (and as a former NYr, I'm WAY picky about pizza), I just wasn't impressed. This is a very small shop, and I think most people buy by the slice, although they will make a pie. I usually prefer to get pies vs reheat of slices. Prices are not cheap. I almost walked out after looking at the case because I knew the crust was not going to be what I look for in a NY pizza! But my husband and I decided to try a few different things and share. They have two styles: NY and Roman (which is more like focaccia crust ..very light and airy). They state that they buy local and organic when possible. We tried the margherita focaccia, the bianco white pizza, garlic knots, and eggplant involtini. Let's start with the good - garlic knots were excellent, and very garlicky! The roman style was good, not great, and this particular one was served room temp with 'fresh' mozzarella on top. The mozzarella was very chewy - not the texture I'm used to for fresh., but overall, this roman style was ok. The bianco? Crust wasn't NY by any means and a bit too thick. They had too much cheese toppings on it, which overwhelmed the pizza. We both weren't fans. The eggplant? It was weird - had a funny taste to it which I couldn't peg. Had my husband try..and he agreed, but neither of us could figure out what it was. Texture and crust was good, but very off-putting taste. We didnt' try the gelato - no flavors I liked and honesty, didn't really look freshly made. I've been spoiled by Vecchio Pallino in Salado! Staff were nice. But it was primarily help yourself to silverware etc, and also return trays etc.

Holy cow did we move to the right area! We were looking for dinner in our new neighborhood and figured we’d pop in to Baldinucci’s. Normally we aren’t big pizza people because after two slices we always feel gross but this place has changed the game. Service is great, staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to get your order for you. It’s a counter style so you walk up and pick your slices and go. They have so many different options of pizzas that are all beautifully crafted. We decided on the Sausage & Honey along with the Diablo and Carne. The Sausage and Honey had intricately piped ricotta which was a lovely little touch, and the flavors of all three were out of this world! The crust is super light and airy and the flours are actually imported from Italy. This makes for a delicious bite that doesn’t make you feel like complete garbage after! The slices are big in size and are super reasonably priced. You can eat in or take out and the inside space is small but there are a few tables both inside and outside. We didn’t try it this time around but the gelato and cannolis looked incredible. Will 100% be trying these next time around. I wish I got a photo of the food but it was gone before I got the chance to take one!

Pizza experience: We live in Austin for over 20 years, were born in a cultural region of the USA where pizza and regional cuisine is known to be authentic and delicious, have eaten pizza in about every state of the US, have eaten pizza in Rome, Italy, in other areas of Italy, and around the world as offered, we have eaten pizza. My Father's family comes from Naples, Italy. Pizza and food, in my world and family, is almost sacred. Positive about Baldinucci's: Impressive selection of displayed pizzas with very *high quality and generous ingredients*, both Romana style and NY style. The pizza is a feast for the eyes and overall very good tasting. Needs some attention: Caesar salad and croutons- Caesar dressing was excellent, but the beautiful, fresh romaine leaves were underdressed/dry. Might consider leaving dressing off completely and providing it in a container on the side, or dress the leaves properly with adequate dressing so it is truly a caesar salad. The "generic box-type croutons" thrown all over the salad were nearly inedible, stale, hard, and lowered the quality of the salad overall. Might consider finding a crouton that matches the caliber of the salad, or don't serve croutons at all. Pizzas: Had we ordered only the Ricotta/Mushroom pizza for our first visit, and with those tooth breaking box croutons and lack of salad dressing, we may never have returned...someone literally may have forgotten to or overlooked seasoning and salting/flavoring that tray of ricotta/mushroom pizza. It had Zero flavor. We brought it home and added just some salt, and it tasted fine then. Fortunately, we also ordered 2 other types of slices, and both of these were properly/traditionally seasoned and delicious. Our second visit: Pizza was seasoned well. No change on the croutons and dry salad leaves. Gelato: Baldinucci's raspberry and chocolate gelatos compare to the finest that can be found in Italy. These are the only two flavors were have tried at Baldinucci's.

We ordered takeout which was easily done. We ordered two NY style pizzas. LG Brick Oven (NY) added prosciutto 5/5 and LG Supreme (NY) added meatballs 5/5. Although not inexpensive these are the best pizzas I’ve eaten outside of NY, NJ, or Chicago.

Fantastic pizzas by the slice with a wide assortment of toppings in Westlake! The garlic knots are over the top delicious and packed with flavor! Great, friendly, and helpful staff!! And they have a wonderful small, selection of gelato that’s just enough to have your favorite flavors with something new to tweak your sweet tooth!

This place serv3s the best pizza I have found in America and I have spent 50 years sampling pizzas from all over the country. Hands down, this was the best. I got turned on to the place by a friend or I never would have known about it. They haven't been open that long but when word gets out you can expect to wait on long lines for what they are serving. This place is incredibly authentic and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Thier NY style pizza is made in ovens shipped from NY, where the family has been making pizza for 40 years. Their Roman pizza is made in ovens imported from Rome, as is the flour they use. This is now my gold standard when assessing pizza as I travel, and the only place I'll eat it when in Austin.

Absolutely the best pizza on the westside! Try both kinds of dough. The fluffy, but crisp on the bottom crust is like no other in Austin. Excellent choice of pre-prepared toppings. They just pop a slice in the oven for you. Consider to-go. The spot is tiny and cramped. Seating for maybe 12 inside, jammed against the wall. Friendly staff. Beer and wine. Fair prices. Delicious!
