  I could tell I was back in the PDX by how enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu the charming servers were! My make your own Detroit style pizza with cheese blend and pepperoni was fantastic, with a perfectly caramelized crust and delightfully charred pepperoni. The cocktail list is varied and highly sophisticated, as one would expect in PDX. I had the Yellow Submarine. The vibe is perfect for Gen Xers and older Millennials especially, with Price Is Right reruns playing on the screens. There is also an extensive happy hour menu. Did I mention that the staff make you feel like you’re sitting down at your home table? Street parking was easy.

  Exceptional Customer Service 👌 👏 👍 🙌 Fantastic!!! Went here for the first time ⏲️ unbelievable experience! This is a Must !! Please 🙏 Go and Treat yourself to a magical culinary experience ✨️ 🙏. Was greeted be a passionate ✨️ and amazing 👏 bar 🍸 tender who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu and all of the different options that are available. She then turned it ove to our Server Kim AKA "PAM" I ACCIDENTALLY called her Pam ! Lol 😆 🤣 😂 Pam is AMAZING 👏 AWESOME 👌 and Very Friendly!! Outstanding Customer Service 👏 👌 👍!! Now for the food 👏 👌! By far the Best Pizza 🍕 in Portland Oregon 😋 possible the West Coast !! So !! PLEASE PLEASE GO HERE !!!! We ordered 4 pies, appetizers,and desserts 🍨! The house 🏠 made cocktails 🍸 are out of this world 🌎 😋! The icing on the cake was ! Kristen the owner came over to our table and introduced herself to us ! What a amazing experience to her and see 👀 how passionate she is about her business from the service when you walk in ! To be treated as family, and her journey to make and find the perfect pizza crusts and styles 😋!! Nicely Done ✔️ Glissan St. Pizza 🍕 Lounge !! You definitely have a return costumer!!!

  So glad this place reopened. The service was great tonight. I came in kinda lost in a hunger daze and they treated me with excellent service! They oriented me and I was able to leave satisfied with my decisions. I got lucky hitting the happy hour for my slice of pizza. The option for add arugula to any slice for $1 was nice. I love any place adding Mama Lil's to their eats. I even asked for a little extra thought from the bar tender and she definitely delivered. She curates a highly approachable yet creative small cocktail menu. The whole menu is fairly concise which any indecisive person could appreciate as long as it is approachable. The speciality pizzas are leaning toward more Italian spicy vibes than I typically see at the average joint. East Glisan Pizza Lounge is worth checking out. I think it deserves an overall 4.7 or above on Google AT LEAST. Hopefully my review helps bump it up a little! :)

  Really cool neighborhood spot with a great vibe inside. Warm lighting, relaxed, but lively energy, and a place that feels like it’s been part of the community for a while. I tried both their tavern-style and Detroit-style pizzas. The tavern-style was excellent…super thin, crispy, and packed with flavor. The Detroit-style was decent, but not my favorite; I’ve had better versions elsewhere, though it was still enjoyable. Overall, East Glisan is definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re into good pizza and a chill atmosphere to grab a couple beers with friends. I’ll be back for the tavern-style and to try their classic sourdough crust for sure.

  Impeccable place! The food and the service were amazing! I solely went here based off a review I saw saying “everyone I met was just nice/kind” and that was absolutely the truest thing ever. I felt so welcomed! Lexi was the sweetest she also gave me some amazing go-to spots while in town! Trust me when I say this place will not disappoint in anyway. I ordered a classic pizza with pepperoni mushroom and pineapple, it was just what I was craving and the crispy potato’s were amazing! Let’s not forget to mention THE HOMEMADE RANCH, such a unique flavor, I LOVE it! I know you’ll enjoy this place as much as I did.

  we wanted to try this pizza place with friends, and did so last night, sitting inside.......beth was the staff person, and she was great!...we took advantage of the happy hr monday....i had the narragasset lager, and my partner had the virgil root beer....next, i had the three dollar slice, as did she but had two pieces, and we shared a dinner salad....our friends did the slice happy hr deal and loved it with their root beer....the ny style happy hr slice was excellent, as was the sald and beer..the ny crust was superb too......the atmosphere is busy and festive....lots of people were outside too....thx so much....

  Have you ever tried Detroit style pizza? ~ My 1st visit to this cozy neighborhood restaurant, and it was packed! I have to say I think it might be the best pizza I've ever eaten. YUMMY! I'll Be Back!! Kudos to Christen & Todd!

  Good crust but Minimal pizza toppings. The ‘green salad’ was literally a handful of mixed greens…absolutely nothing else. The chickpea fritters were super dry. The marinara dipping sauce was way too thick and flavorless. I wanted to like this place . Really disappointed.

  I consider myself a pizza aficionado and have tried many in the PDX area. The house pepperoni at EGPL is my favorite. I still drive in from out of state to hit this place every so often. The cannolis are absolutely divine

  Compared the other pizza joints in this category this place is Falls Way Off the Mark. It's a dark, seedy joint located in an old storefront that might have been a hardware store at one time. Is dimly-lit. So much so, I had to use my cell phone just to read the menu and see the food I was eating. The house made sauces to use on their Pizza probably it was tasty at one time. But, it had this lingering aftertaste I could have been sitting on the kitchen counter for a few too many days. Kind of like what you taste and aged prosciutto. But oh, it's not supposed to be there. In my opinion they use way too much chili flakes and the sausage. I was pleasantly surprised then it wasn't brimming what's the flavor of salt. The real faux pas here I think was the crust, as usual. Now, mind you it tastes just fine. I think the fault lie in the fact that they were using conventional pizza ovens that just were not up to the muster. Were they capable of pulling down another 400 Degrees like a wood-burning stove I think they would have had a pretty good pizza crust go on here. As it's sent, the cross was kind of flat, lame and lifeless. The sauce looked and tasted like San Marzano Tomatoes dump straight out of the can. They had that bitter sour taste of tomatoes that aren't well-rested or simmered have. A pinch of sugar could have gone a long way here and possibly even some garlic and basil. I never could get in to enjoying this because I just couldn't get past the twang. The pork meatballs At First Bite seemed heavenly light. But then after a little chew I can feel the liquid they were suspended in the breadcrumbs squishing between my teeth. Most unpleasant feeling much like chewing on a sponge. Once again, way too much pepper and chili flakes. The meatballs were slaughtered in the same air and air that they put on the pizza which made them, at this point, not worth the effort. The only thing that got this thing that extra star instead of a flat zero was the waitress who dressed with an homage towards the 1940s phenomenon Rosie the Riveter. Her fantastic attitude and bouncy personality made the whole trip more bearable. Keep up the good work sweetheart!
