Lombardos is on its way to being a neighborhood institution, the owner is incredibly friendly and is tipping his homage to his New Jersey pizza roots. When I went in they were sold out of everything except their bar pie. A light crispy crust with a zesty sauce and perfectly caramelized cheese. They only prep about 40 or so pies a day but the restaurant clearly has room to expand and for their sake I hope the community floods them with business until they are forced to do so. Truly reaching those east coast roots I highly recommend making the trip into St. John’s for this wonderfully done pie where you will find true beauty in its simplicity.

found ourselves in the st johns area and had this pizzeria on our list to visit for a while! simple pie choices on the menu, but in my humble opinion that is the mark of a good pizza place. the pizza we chose (prosciutto with green olives) had very high quality ingredients and tasted great. the crust was next level crisp and flavorful. lombardo's has a few picnic tables outside for seating, which was a lovely way to eat a lovely pizza on a lovely autumn day. service was friendly and quick. absolutely would recommend and would return.

This hole in the wall pizza place is definitely worth a visit. The menu is small, serving up a few different new jerseys style pies (think thin and very crispy crust). We got a half cheese and half pepperoni, both sides were excellent. The sauce was light and well seasoned and the whole pie was well salted, making it taste great. The crust was perfectly crisp, allowing it to hold its shape when picked up.

Great food, people and fantastic quality. I loved the open environment. Seeing the whole kitchen makes for an aerobic and nice experience. They have a small table with three benches for dining in. A pricey place but they make pizzas with a more homemade taste and texture. I’d recommend when you’re looking to treat yourself. Parking is tight so be mindful.

Simply the best pie in Portland. The owner is incredibly nice, and they always produce an immaculate pizza. Couldn’t recommend more.
