  First time trying Angelo's Pizza. We ordered mozzarella sticks which were my favorite, they were crispy and had a great cheese pull. We also had an order of cheese fries and they serve you a generous amount. We ordered a thin crust pepperoni & sausage pizza, which was a 4/5, it needed little more sauce. Customer service was phenomenal! Definitely coming back to try the stuffed pizza!

  This is an award winning, multi-generational family run pizzeria. Each time we have stopped at this establishment, year after year, the pizza has stayed the same. This is partially because all of the ingredients are grown to perfection by the family themselves. In addition, each person in the kitchen is trained individually to make sure they make the best meals they can offer. The cheese, oh, the cheese!!! What can I say! It has ooey gooey goodness, that stretches from here to kingdom come, and back again. Just take a look at the pictures. Even they don't compare to being there. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing with relief paintings of family members in greacian garb adorning the walls. A tribute to Michaelangelo's Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel hangs from the ceiling. But instead of him touching GOD, he is touching a slice of stuffed pizza. I guess in a place like this, pizza could be considered a God. Especially, when pizza this good should be considered Art. So Don't take my word for it. GOOOooooo!!! Now!!!!!!!!

  Sat near the full open window towards the front of the restaurant. You walk into a sexy attractive atmosphere of Italy. The Chicken Carbonara was delicious delightful and would order again. The fresh peas and huge chunks of chicken breast add the flavors holding the pasta dish together as a perfect dish to share for two. I recommend you add this dish and location to your BEST restaurant and please invite family and friends to join you. The ceiling hand painted adds a glorious touch to the experience.

  I’m big on first impressions, and Angelo’s completely failed. This is the only place in the city that closes its doors because of a “special.” Absolutely ridiculous. I was met at the door with nothing but negative energy. The dining room was closed, no takeout orders were being accepted—nothing at all—unless you were picking up a rosca. No alternatives were offered. Not even something simple like salads, wings, or fries. Instead, the entire place was shut down for a single item. It’s honestly laughable. Do better. Safe to say that I will never be trying this hole in the wall.

  I ordered these expecting something you know cute and original and the video looks a bit bigger, but this was really small not only small. It was burnt. It was very disappointing. I should’ve just gotten a pizza For the price that I paid.

  Th owner is very unappreciative of the business he got from 11 people. Plus, 1 person also purchased desert fro the group. My group of 11 people will not be going back. Owner was very rude when I followed up by phone to request that one of our people be comped forhis pizza, due to major delayin getting his pizza (the group was finished eathing). He offered free pop to this person, which he accepted. When I spoke with the owner, he said the person would not be comped for his pizza. & he had eaten it..When I told him he would not be coming back. He said youdon't have to & humg up. Too many other good places to go where they appreciate your business & know how to do business. I selected this place because I wanted to support the little guy, but the owner oesn't care.Even though the food was great, I refuseto deal with an owner who doesn't care he gets the business or not.   A small place tucked out of the way in the non-tourist zone with not much parking, but the pizza.....oh WOW! A super thick pie loaded with toppings and more toppings and rivers of melting cheese. This is what a Chicago pizza should be!

  It's hard to imagine that Angelo's Stuffed Pizza (773-927-9355) on South Pulaski between West 48th and West 49th Streets isn't listed by TripAdvisor, that this is a first-time review, because it has been reviewed by other services and several customers who have made their opinions known online. Maybe it gets confusing because there are so many Angelo's pizzerias in Chicago. But it is reasonable to assume that the others don't produce stuffed pizza of such quality. Me? I'm not into stuffed pizza or deep dish. As I've said in other reviews, give me thin crust, cheese and lots of sausage. But Angelo's on South Pulaski has been in business for several years and its signature stuffed pizza attracts consistent praise. While Angelo's has made its reputation on stuffed pizza, the menu has been expanded to include wings, salads and more sandwiches. But let's talk stuffed pizza. The most popular are Bella Pizza (sausage, onion, green pepper, mushroom, pepperoni, spinach, ham and jalapeno) and Angelo's Special (sausage, green pepper and mushroom). But you also can order a Mexican, Hawaiian or Veggie variety. The expanded menu offers some tasty appetizers (chicken nuggets, garlic bread, tomato bread, onion rings), salads (shrimp, chicken), pasta (mostaccioli, spaghetti, meat ravioli, baked lasagna, meat tortellini, chicken parmesan) and sandwiches (meatball, Italian sausage, Italian beef, BBQ beef, steak, Polish). Once you've been here, you'll also wonder why it took so long to get reviewed.
