Totally 100% vegan, but I heard they were closing before the end of November. We came here on a Friday night around 5pm. They do allow children and have live shows at night. I got a beer, Maplewood IPA, and vegan nachos with “beef”. They were very wet, they also had mixed greens on top which were nice but weird. For my main meal I got a fried chicken sandwich which had tempeh as the protein. It was very thick and dense but tasty. It came with French fries. My partner got a sour beer, and a chicken parm sandwich with French fries. He reported his was also very thick / dense.

Amazing food! Not a vegan, but love all things vegan, especially this pizza, nachos & tots from here. sad to see an amazing Gem go, so always support those places you’re into!

It’s a little bit away from down town and well worth the drive! This is an amazing gem hidden deep in Chicago. The pizza was HUGE!! We got the everything pizza and it did not disappoint! The Fryios (I think) nachos except fries instead of chips. Were also MASSIVE and amazing. The flavor on literally everything was amazing! The service from literally everyone was fantastic, friendly and helpful. My only, and small, complaint was the AC was being worked on and it was a bit toasty inside. We sat in front of the open window and enjoyed the breeze.

We showed up 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they still seated and fed us. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was great as well. We also really enjoyed the ambience!

I've been vegan for about 8 years and have had some great deep-dish vegan pizzas in Nashville. I ordered a vegan pizza from here, and I wasn't impressed with it. We ate it because we didn't want to waste our money, but I don't recommend it for a VEGAN DEEP DISH.

Travelled ages to get here given the reviews. I can honestly say this is the worst pizza we’ve ever eaten. It was so salty. When we raised this with the team at K17 we were told this is how the pizza comes and everyone has different tastes. I told them the pizza was inedible but they still refused to do anything about it. Neither did they offer to substitute it nor take it off the bill. The attitude was once it comes out of the kitchen you have to pay for it. Even if the dough tasted over fermented and the pizza tasted like sea water. The server told us he’s not a fan of vegan cheese!! The hygiene standards are also below par. Do yourself a favour and avoid unless you want your feet to stick to the floor, zero service and revolting food.

We had different style pizza and all of them were excellent. We didn’t see gluten-free pizza dough. Service was rather slow and music wasn’t our thing. No outside seating. Offers life music

I purchased the multi-pack and had it shipped to me in Florida. I the business in a popular magazine and was eager to try the deep dish pizza as I hadn’t had a great pizza since I went vegan 3 years ago. I must be honest, I am a bit disappointed in the flavor of several of the pizzas. The presentation was amazing but the taste was horrible. I even tried baking the pizza on a pizza stone and it did not make it any better. I hate that I wasn’t local to the business because I would deliver them back to the restaurant. I don’t like to leave negative reviews because the shipping was great! It really was just the flavor was horrible. I tried reaching out to the restaurant and received a sarcastic email back from Joe. I would not recommend ordering from Kitchen17.

We ordered two pizzas and two desserts for takeout. Everything was so good! I highly recommend the jalapeño pizza. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Chicago.
