Went in here for pizza and loved the whole experience! The owner and staff were very welcoming and the service was great. The pizza was fantastic.. I can’t get enough of that sweet garlicky sauce that they use. All the ingredients were fresh and the amount of cheese on the pizza was just perfect. 👌🏼

Visited here for the first time tonight. The food was decent. I'd say middle of the road in my experience. The chicken in the Fettucine alfredo was pretty good and not the chicken with fake grill marks many give. Cheese sticks were better than average ones. However, the prices were eye watering. The menu is *not* up to date so I would strongly suggest you ask for the prices before ordering. Our party ordered 3 pasta dishes and an order of mozzarella sticks and it was $113. That's more expensive than some of the higher end pizza places in the city.

First timer….Order to go they forgot to call after waiting 45 min for my pizza and it was done and just sitting. Presentation was everything don’t like the sauce very bland and 30.75 for a medium two topping is crazy just not for me won’t be going back.

Palermo's of 63rd is a true gem from the past, serving up classic Italian comfort with a chill, nostalgic vibe. Walking in, you can immediately feel the timeless charm of this place, with its cozy, unpretentious atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. I ordered the Cheese Ravioli, and let me tell you—it was nothing short of incredible. Each ravioli was generously stuffed with velvety, creamy cheese that oozed with every bite, creating this perfect, rich texture. The pasta itself was cooked to perfection—soft and tender with just the right amount of bite, making each forkful a delightful experience. The real magic, though, was in the sauce. It had a unique sweetness, almost like a slow-cooked, tomato-rich marinara that had been simmering for hours, deepening in flavor. The slight sweetness of the sauce paired with the creamy, savory cheese filling was an irresistible combination, creating layers of flavor that had me savoring every mouthful. Each bite felt comforting, like a warm hug on a plate, with a flavor profile that was balanced and deeply satisfying. If you're thinking of visiting on a Friday, keep in mind that while it might not be packed for dine-in, it’s a popular night for takeout, so be prepared for a little wait. But trust me, the food is absolutely worth it! This place is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Italian classics in a laid-back, welcoming environment. I can't wait to go back!

Tried Palermo's for the first time after reading positive reviews. Ordered several pizzas with different crusts and toppings. As others have mentioned, the sauce is definitely on the sweet side, but still good. We went with one paper thin and one regular thin crust. Neither are as thin as tavern style, but we did prefer the paper thin. More chewy than crisp. Service was good, and the complimentary lemon sorbet was a nice touch.

I’d give this place 6 stars if I could. My son and I split a sausage and green pepper pizza. It was excellent. The sauce is sweetish as others have noted. I thought it was great but if that’s not your thing YMMV. …

Tried Palermo’s for the first time after seeing a lot of great reviews 😊🍕 We ordered a few different pizzas with various crusts and toppings to get a good feel for the place. As people often say, the sauce leans a bit on the sweeter side, …

The plates here are large portions. The pastas don't disappoint. The chicken or eggplant parmesan are moist, tender and very tasty. Mushrooms are the only apps that I deem worthy of recognizing. The pizzas are fabulous. If you like the stuffed, they have a version that is different, yet very tasty and filling. The hand tossed is a definite home, comfort style meal in and of itself. Pizza on the So. Side of Chicago that isn't far from Midway airport. A meal well worth your time and the stop over.

Great! Classic Italian restaurant, warm family feel, great food. In town for work and our group was glad we found Palermo's. I highly recommend you stop by for dinner. I will say come hungry or be prepared to take one of two boxes of leftovers with you. The owner (he cooked our meal) came out said hi!, you eat my food you get free Italian ice, and it was fantastic as well.

Thick, tasty, filling pizza. Great quality of food and friendly service. Almost the ideal pizza place, with a good local atmosphere. Evidently been in business for a long time. Strongly recommended.

Palermo's never disappoints! We've been eating here since 1990. The food is still DELICIOUS and the service is still OUTSTANDING. Every time we fly back to Chicago, we come back with our entire family. The servings are HUGE and always make everyone smile. You gotta try this place!

My wife and I were in Chicago visiting long lost relatives of hers. One night they suggested we go to Polermo`s on 63rd for Italian food. What a great choice they made! In all we ordered 3 large pizza`s with 3 different crust styles, and every one was a great experience. The sauce is sweet and yet not overly so. The cheese was plentiful and not greasy. the toppings were top notch, and they blended well with everything overall. This was only my second time in Chicago in the last 28 years, and going to Polermo`s was a highlight. Before we left for home in Minnesota, we went back as a group one more time, and this time we had various dishes between us all. Once again, from the service and the quality overall of their food, this place is a Chicago must go to. No question about it, the next visit will of course include a stop at Polermo! Worth every penny!
