Great pizza, rude staff. Called in to order a pizza and lady picked up. Told me they weren’t taking any orders. I asked what time they closed and she hung up me. If you’re not taking orders and are closed why are you picking up the phone? Really makes it hard to support your local pizza instead of going to paisans sugar pizza. Work on your customer service guys, no need to be rude. Ended up going to Obbies pizza. Another great local joint.

I've only had their pizza & fries, and the pizza is made very well, I prefer it over all other pizza places in the area. The restaurant itself is only pick up or delivery, no dine in. Overall the atmosphere looks like it hasn't had a cleaning in decades. There's obvious repairs that need to be done and equipment that needs to be replaced. I'm not sure how it passes inspections. I'm just stating the obvious. The place looks like it's been falling apart for awhile now and nothing is being done about it. Which is unfortunate since the food itself is really good.

After this pizza parlor changed hands, even though they still possessed the same pizza recipe, they have been a big disappointment. The toppings are so skimpy you can barely find them and the crust is always soggy. To make things worse, we never received our last pizza, and when we complained, nothing was done about it. We cancelled the order and vowed not to order from them again...and this used to be our favorite pizza!! Wake up Villa Nova!! You're a shadow of your former self!

I have been wanting to try Villa Nova pizza for a few years. They first came to my attention, when they were featured on Chicago's best. I'm originally from Chicago, but live in California now, and haven't had a chance to try them. I finally got a chance to try them on my current visit home. Let me tell you, this pizza was delicious. There was a place my dad use to get pizza from, called "Ray's pizza" on the Southside, and I have been chasing that taste for years. I finally found it at villa nova pizza. The ingredients, crust, and taste were top notch. I went to the location in Stickney. The staff was friendly and looked like they were having a great time. The only disappointment I had was that they don't have dine in at this time. I whole heartedly recommend Villa Nova and look forward to trying it again. Oh,have to shout out their sausage. Go, what are you waiting for?

Villa Nova Pizzeria has been owned and operated by the same family in the same location since 1955. For 70 years, this no-frills pizza parlor/bar has put out one of the best tavern-cut pizzas in the Chicago area, an ultra paper-thin crust that reminds of the old Jolly Roger in Urbana, Illinois, that I frequented as a college student and young newspaper reporter in the 1960s. What is tavern style? It's a crust firm enough ro have a noticeable crunch with slices cut into squares, not wedges. Villa Nova also offers a Detroit style pizza, a rectangular pan pizza with a thick, crisp and chewy crust with a lot of cheese spread out to the edges, fatty and creamy and melts easily, as in Wisconsin Brick Cheese. Located at 6821 West Pershing Road in Berwyn, in Stickney township, Villa Nova offers customers an opportunity to "build your own thin crust pizza." I'm not into such toppings as onions or mushrooms or pineapple or jalapenos. I'm very satisfied with a 14-inch large pizza with house sausage, extra cheese, extra sausage and extra sauce. Certainly one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever experienced. But I also am content with a dinner of garlic bread, Caesar salad with Romaine lettuce, house-made croutons and parmesan cheese, spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs and home-made tiramisu. Villa Nova is open from 4 to 9 Monday through Thursday, 2 to 10 on Friday, 3 to 10 on Saturday and 2 to 9 on Sunday. After seven decades at the same old stand, they certainly know what they are doing.

I drove from the North side because I heard some several good things about this pie. Didn't disappoint. Really generous amount of sausage on the pizza, crisp crust, and is great out of the freezer for par-baked. Really loved that crust. It's definitely a bit on the greasy side, and that was my only issue.

Great thin crust pizza with fresh mushrooms and sausage, my go to all the time! The way this pie is cut (tavern style)there’s a piece of sausage on every piece.

Has to be the most generous amount of sausage on a pizza in the area. On top of that, the sausage is delicious. We ordered 2 pizzas and they gave us a free small cheese pizza. Nice touch No liquor available- would be great if you could get a beer with your pizza. Would return

Went with a couple of friends. One of them has been going to Villa Nova for years and claims it's the best thin-crust pizza in Chicago. It was very good. They have a lot of the ingredients (flour, sausage, pepperoni) made especially for them, and all the ingredients were fresh. We had sausage and veggie pizza. The place has been in business for over 60 years, and they also have locations in New Buffalo, MI and Chesterton, IN. If it wasn't so far for me to drive there I would definitely go back.
