I love candlelight! If you love pizza then you would love this pizza! I order a classic cheese pizza. I always say the first time eating at a pizzeria You gotta get a cheese pizza to taste the sauce, the dough and the cheese. Pizza came out fresh and hot Cut classic squares Chicago style Super thin crispy crust this is more of a Chicago Tavern style pizza then a thin crust pizza. I favor more acidic sauces over sweet. So this sauces was on point for me. Also, their beer selection is pretty decent (Son of juice for my IPA people) Service was amazing! Greeted immediately as we walked in restaurant was packed bar was packed, but was seated right away and the pizza came out so fast (10 minute's) and delicious you would think that the place was empty! The restaurant itself is beautiful with a classic marquee sign outside, love it! 100% Recommend!

RIP-OFF. Ordered a small (its miniature!) pizza for pick up. Was THIRTY dollars ($30.00).I m a woman—look at the size of the pizza compared to my hand!!!! What an absolute scam and insult to the customer. Crust was burnt.mediocre pizza.. owners must be LAUGHING all the way to the BANK. Never again. Portion Would not have fed my 3 year old.

I’ve been to Candlelite Chicago a few times now, and it’s always a solid experience. The first time I went was on a Monday, and they had their half-off pizza deal, which is an absolute steal. You’re basically getting buy-one-get-one-free pizzas, but I believe it’s only for the medium and large sizes. Such a great deal! Another time I went, we got the pizza again, and the taste has been super consistent every time. We tried the taco pizza, which was good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the smokiness that comes from the roasted red pepper. Other than that, it was pretty solid. The veggie pizza is also a hit—classic tavern-style with a crispy, crunchy crust that’s just so good. For appetizers, we got the fries, which were awesome, and you absolutely have to end the night with their cookie skillet. It’s really, really good, though it can be a bit too sweet with all the caramel and chocolate on top. Plus, the ice cream-to-cookie ratio is a little off, but it’s still worth getting. Both times I’ve been, the service was great. The place can get really busy on Mondays, so just a heads-up if you’re planning to go then. There’s street parking right in front that’s usually free at night, which is super convenient. Definitely worth checking out!

Candlelite is a tavern located in Western Rogers Park. It was recommended by someone at work who said that while its primarily a pizza restaurant, they had good cheeseburgers. Since it was close to the job and I had never heard of it, I saved it as a place of interest if I needed a lunch while at work. While the pizza menu looked impressive, i stayed true to the Cheeseburger recommendation and ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger. Topped with French fried onions, bacon, lettuce and tomato and put on a pretzel roll smeared with Merkts cheddar and BBQ sauce. I have to say that while the burger was predictably a mess to handle, the flavors here complimented each other well. Usually when Merkts cheddar is used on a burger it tends to be the star of the show, but the actual meat used for the burger stood tallest here. Very beefy flavored and some bites almost had a steak like flavor to them. The drippings from the burger took the taste of my side order of tater tots to a different level. The online order process was easy enough to use. But when I placed my order it said it would take 40 minutes, so I planned on it taking 40, but it only took 20 and I got a text when it was ready, So my order sat for 15 or so minutes which was detrimental to the texture of my tater tots. Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't care for pretzel rolls. This one was okay, but much like the taters, it softened up during the wait contributing further to the messiness of the burger All in all, I was quite pleased with my order. I don't think this is a $21 hamburger, but it was certainly delicious. I do plan to come back and try their pizza. It looks super promising, and when I do I'll make a further edit to this review and average the scores together.

Pizza and salad were good options. Supreme pizza was tasty, house salad had some extra interesting flavors, including pickled onions, mozzarella cheese, and a variety of greens. Burger eaters in our group were not as enthusiastic, meals being just ok. Good wine and beer selection. Service was great.

On the strength of a local recommendation, and of the rave reviews, we checked out Candelite's pizza. A truly disappointing experience, however. The crust was burnt at the edges, and--despite its thinness--it was heavy and hard. The veggies (as another reviewer observed) were practically raw and unseasoned. All of this was covered by a big, thick splotch of cheese that had barely time to soften. The margherita was a sore note as well. The insipid, overcooked crust was straining under the burden of almost a pound of cheese, with virtually no tomato sauce. Never ever going back.

This restaurant has been around forever. The thin pizza is tasty with very fresh ingredients. The sausage pizza was tastier than the veggie pizza, which was pretty bland. The worst part of the dining experience was all the unsupervised children running around. (This was a Sunday night.) Parents bring their kids in and let them run all over the place - including back and forth to a video arcade machine. Some had their shoes and socks off. They were loud and ran into people without bothering to stop. The servers never addressed the issue. It was annoying, and we won’t return.

We called for pizza delivery for the first time from this location. Pizza was cold when it arrived, crust burnt and toppings not cooked enough. The worst item was the calimari that was cold, mushy and undercooked. We called the location and the person on the phone said she had just gotten there and needed to see what was wrong in the kitchen. She said we would get a credit but we haven't seen anything

Twelve of us showed up for Tuesday night 2 for 1 pizza. They moved the tables around so we could all sit together. Nice variety of beers and wines. Ordered four pizzas and drinks. I thought the pizzas were just okay. The restaurant was very noisy and required shouting when even talking to the person next to me. But everyone was happy to get together and the service was great.
