La pizza Bella Emilia, las albóndigas y los ñoquis están deliciosos. La piña colada sin alcohol estaba un poco demasiado dulce.

A quick bite on the way to the F1 Exhibition. No problem with being walk-ins, and welcomed warmly while it was pretty busy at midday on Sunday. Comforting Italian fare…really! We ordered the meatballs (3 pieces); croquettes (crocheted di prosciutto) (3pieces) and a very tasty Bella Emilia pizza accompanied by the rucola salad. All worth going back for! A cocktail (Montenegroni) and a Lord Nelson 3 sheets beer topped out our order, that after the application of the weekend surcharge pointed just north of $170 for two. Very easy, very tasty and recommended. Thanks.

The food came out impressively fast considering how packed the place was, and the waiters were super attentive in ensuring we had clean silverware and full glasses of water amidst the chaos. Very impressive service. My mate ordered the pork with lentils and pesto sauce, and consequently made me jealous of my own order by how good it was. The mock Pina colada was slightly too sweet, but mimicked the real thing overall. This restaurant has a wonderfully regal atmosphere that makes the whole meal feel a little special. Would happily return!

Five stars all around. I honestly could not fault a thing. We walked in on a busy Saturday night expecting a long wait, but we were seated within fifteen minutes which was such a nice surprise. I ordered the pizza and it was absolutely beautiful. It arrived at the table looking perfect and every bite was full of flavour. The base was cooked just right, the toppings were fresh, and it was simply delicious. For dessert, I got the affogato! So lovely! The service was brilliant as well. Even with the place packed, the staff were friendly, organised and completely on top of everything. All our food came out within about ten minutes which really impressed me considering how busy it was. It is rare to find a place that gets both the food and the service so right, especially on a hectic night, but they truly delivered. The atmosphere was warm, the energy was great and the food was outstanding. I would happily come back again and again.

Both the pizza and the gnocchi (which was the special of the day) were absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, this was the best meal I’ve had in Melbourne so far — at least for my personal taste! If I have the chance to visit again, I would definitely love to try more dishes from the menu.

We stopped by Gradi at Crown on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and were really pleased with the experience. We started with the herb focaccia and the polpette al sugo (meatballs). Delicious! For our mains, we had the guancia di manzo (beef cheek with mash) which was beautifully cooked and well paired with the creamy mash. The pumpkin risotto was also a highlight, smooth and nicely balanced. For dessert, we opted for the lemon sorbet – light, zesty, and a great way to finish. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, an enjoyable lunch with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. Would happily return.

What a very disappointing experience we had tonight. I took my mum, who is visiting from overseas, to celebrate her 70th birthday

Gradi at Crown has a beautiful setting with upscale, luxurious interior decor, making it a great space visually. However, the dining experience overall felt quite average given the venue and price point.

I had such a wonderful experience, it was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had, it felt so fresh the bread was next level. The customer service was top tier. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Gradi is an absolute standout. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is buzzing—warm, vibrant, and full of energy that sets the tone for a great night.

We visited the restaurant for the second time. We ordered the pork sausage pizza and the seafood medley pasta. The pizza tasted alright, but the pasta was quite disappointing for the $47 price. The sauce was tomato-based, but it tasted like

We dined there last night, whilst the food was good, unfortunately the service was extremely slow and inattentive throughout the evening. The waitress was pleasant enough, but the level of table service was simply not acceptable. To begin with, there was coffee spilt across the table. The waitress wiped only part of it and then proceeded to place the pizza stand directly over the remaining liquid. One of our water glasses also had coffee spilt into it. She took the glass away, but never replaced it. Once we had finished eating, she cleared only one cocktail glass from the table and then did not return to finish clearing everything. We were left sitting at a table with used glasses and dishes. We should not have had to try to attract someone's attention to receive basic table service. Overall, the service felt extremely inattentive. However, what really topped off an already disappointing experience was what happened when I went to pay. Our bill was approximately $153.40 and I paid in cash. I initially pulled out $150 without realising that I was $3.40 short. As soon as I realised, I immediately handed over another $5. The cashier then actually asked me, **“Do you want your change?”** I found this incredibly rude and presumptuous. Had she simply processed the payment and returned the change, I probably would have left the $1.60 as a tip. But to be asked outright whether I wanted my change, after I had already paid the bill in full, was completely inappropriate. It created an expectation that I should simply forfeit the change. It is not about the $1.60. It is about the attitude and the assumption behind the question. I would also point out that this is Australia, not America. Our hospitality workforce is employed under Australian wage and employment laws, including minimum wage requirements. A tip here should be a choice made by the customer to recognise genuinely good service — it should never be treated as an entitlement or something a customer is expected to provide. If a customer is short by a few dollars, you wait for them to provide the balance. Once the customer has paid the bill in full, the change should simply be returned. If the customer then chooses to leave that change, or anything additional, as a tip, that is entirely their decision. We pay enough when dining out without being made to feel that we should be handing over additional money, particularly when the service that evening was already so poor. The suggestion that I should not expect my own change back was, quite frankly, insulting. It is a real shame because, as I said, the food itself was good. Unfortunately, good food does not make up for poor service and an attitude that leaves customers feeling taken for granted. I will certainly think twice before dining at your restaurant again, and I hope you take this feedback seriously. Your customers should not be made to feel that tipping is expected, particularly when the service provided has been far from attentive.Read more

Food is ok but overated for the price. This place gets people in on reputation of some award from years ago but dining experience is poor, staff are very innatentive, felt like all they wanted to do was get us out so they could get the next wallet in.Read more

You need a new hostess!!! We came here for an impromptu lunch on 17th June. This woman is in the wrong job full stop. We arrived, asked if there was a table. She said “yes”. No eye contact. No verbal communication. She then proceeded expressionless to seat another couple that had arrived prior to us which of course is perfectly fine. She didn’t smile at any point, or say “of course, I’ll be with you shortly after I seat the other customers”. Nothing. She directed us to our table eventually. The rest of the staff were very friendly and polite. The pizza was great, lasagna was average. The food came out in minutes which for us was way too fast. We watched the hostess during our time there and she was miserable the whole time. Very very bad first impression. Thankfully the rest of the staff saved the day.Read more

We booked a table for 12 and had to pay a significant deposit of $500 and knowing it was a business dinner i felt the establishment didnt take that into account and putting us next to the kitchen. Wait staff was extremely attentive which was a plus and the food was good - entrees were all good as well as the sides. For mains had the truffle and the tiramisu is very very good. For the price paid you expect no less than this quality. However as i said disappointed we were given a table next to the kitchen.Read more
