Absolutely loved our visit to Rudy’s! The pizza was incredible — proper Neapolitan style with that perfect soft, chewy base and just the right amount of char. You can tell the dough is made fresh daily, and the toppings were top-quality and full of flavour. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. We didn’t have to wait long, and everything came out hot and fresh. It’s great value too — amazing quality for the price, especially for a city-centre restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. If you love authentic Italian pizza, Rudy’s is a must-try! 🍕🇮🇹

Pizzas are a great size. They have the option to add burrata which is great cos I always like to add it, just makes the pizza more creamy and scrumpdiddlyumptious. The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is good. It’s located right next to the train station, so it’s great if you have a train to catch and want somewhere nearby. Really top notch pizza, definitely my fave pizza spot!

Great pizza and nice atmosphere. Pizza dough is amazing and choice is also fine. Staff and service were fantastic. Starters list is short and unfortunately there is no other dish than pizzas on the menu.

I came for my birthday and had a lovely time! The restaurant was great with a cosy but lively vibe and the food was sooo good! Just wish there were more options for sides and non-alcoholic beverages. We were served by Eve and she was amazing! Would recommend :)

Came here as a booking for 10 people on Tuesday evening (6:30pm). Could not fault the food one bit, pizza was really nice so no complaints there! However, once the full group had arrived, we were not approached by any staff member to take orders for drink or food. Instead, I had to grab the attention of a server to take our first drinks order, which took a while to come. When it did arrive, my drink was wrong (full fat coke rather than Diet Coke) however the server did swap it for me once I went over to him and let him know. It was 7:30 pm by the time we had ordered food, which, again I had to stand up and ask the staff member to come over and take our order. The food arrived in reasonable time and like i said, was really enjoyable. There was no drinks check in, so AGAIN we had to go over to the staff and ask for more drinks. I’d understand if it was busy, but I could see multiple members of staff stood talking, or very slowly wiping down tables nearby and it was not even busy. When we got the bill, there was a £22 service charge added on. Usually we don’t mind, and we didn’t want to take it off and cause a problem, however we did not feel the service was worth even £1, let alone £22. Semi decent restaurant overall and the food was great, just train your staff better for future. I literally felt like I was annoying the staff by just being there… it’s your job! - Sincerely, a fellow hospitality employee

Food was very nice although staff made me feel singled out for having an allergy. One staff member said “there’s always one” when I said I had an allergy. A different staff member blamed someone elses pizzas coming out late on my allergy. I appreciate the care taken over prevention of cross contamination however it should not come at the expense of my dining experience when I’m out with friends.

I have long thought that Pizza Express is a busted flush and trading on its past. Coming to Rudy's in Headingly only served to reinforce my view. The pizza had a lovely chewy base with fresh ingredients, cooked in a large pizza oven and served in a full restaurant in a relaxed but buzzy atmosphere by young, friendly staff. This is where pizza is now. Pizza Express and its ilk need to sit up and pay attention.

Terrible noisy restaurant. We asked for the music to be turned down as speaker right above our heads. Waitress turned it down but the manager then turned it up louder telling her it was to add to the atmosphere. First and last visit. Appalling.
