  This is a wonderful spot to stop for a bite to eat. Especially on weekdays, they have an $11.99 lunch special for a 9 inch pizza that comes with a salad. My pizza was great, you can tell it was made with quality ingredients. The dough is the star really, it was perfect. I also had a bit of gelato for dessert, and that was delightful. The chocolate was super rich and I loved the thick consistency. Parents be warned though, it can get a little messy in these small cups. My server was super polite, helpful, and fast. I had absolutely no issues with service, which js why I’m not upset the tipping defaults to 22%. The restaurant itself had a cool interior, good music, and ample seating. They also have outdoor seating available. Highly recommend if you are in the area and love classic pizza.

  We had such a great lunch at Pupatella! Our server, Windi, was incredibly patient and kind, even though we were a bit indecisive. We shared the Spicy Diavola pizza, and it was absolutely delicious — the dough was thin and crisp, with just the right balance of flavor and heat. It’s easy to see why Pupatella has such a strong reputation! They also use DOP certified Italian ingredients which is great. Windi went above and beyond by offering us a discount for our next visit, since they were out of the panna cotta dessert we wanted to try (which looked amazing!). We’ll definitely be back soon to try both that and the cheesecake she recommended — and maybe the ragu pizza next time too. Overall, a really warm, satisfying, and memorable dining experience. Highly recommend! 🍕✨

  Daniel did a great job. I know pizza, and this was good pizza! I know they’re world ranked; I can confirm it’s some of the best pizza I’ve had. We ordered the margherita and the Diavola. The diavola won for me, but I’ve heard some of their other pizzas are even better. Regardless, one of the best places I’ve been.

  I recently arrived in DC from Europe for my job and I was lucky enough to discover this little gem in the heart of the city. The food is prepared to perfection and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. Overall one can eat real Italian food without being in Italy! Kudos guys and especially Robert for his amazing service!

  Had potato tortilla- was served warm, barely. Chicken skewers were warm and under whelming. Having hot food makes a huge difference!

  Always try to come here when in DC. They have a fabulous terrace, but unfortunately this time it wasn't terrace weather so I sat inside but the atmosphere was still fantastic. Service is excellent and the tapas are fabulous - lots of vegetarian options. I enjoyed pimientos de padron, mushroom croquettes and escalivada. Prices are a little expensive but portions are usually generous

  A group os us (all family members) came in on a busy Saturday night for small plates, lots of fun drinks, and plenty of chit chat. The staff was great! Very attentive and friendly. The plates we ordered would be made and come out in relatively quick time and were all piping hot and fresh too. We enjoyed their menu, they have all the items you’d expect from a Spanish tapas place. We tried many items, some standouts were: • the Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, along with the Aged Manchego • their Gambas al ajillo had a great sauce, though I do wish the dish was spicier • Montado de Bistec y Chorizo was really tasty! • Their Mariscos Paella was spot on! The texture of the rice was exactly what it should be (and what I crave when desiring paella) and all the seafood in it was fresh and very nicely done. I will say the flavor of the Pan Con Tomate had a nice flavor and the color was great, but it was way too soggy. We’ve had this (tomato bread) many times in Spain and it was never this soggy. The venue is nicely laid out to accommodate small and large groups. Their sangria was so very good that we ordered a few pitchers! We even enjoyed sharing the porrón along with a nice Spanish white wine. Definitely would return!
