  The pizza was really good, especially if you’re into dough-forward style – you can definitely taste the quality. The food came out really fast and the service was really friendly – there is nothing to criticize about it except for the fact that she didn’t understand which kind of water we wanted and brought us a different one. The only downside for me was that the toppings in the Calzone weren’t spread evenly. Also, I found the prices quite high overall. The Tiramisu in particular felt way too expensive (8 €) for the small portion. Overall still a nice experience, just wish the prices were a bit more reasonable.

  A Slice of Naples in Amersfoort ! La Base in Amersfoort delivers an authentic Neapolitan pizza experience. The crust is perfectly charred, thin, and chewy, just as it should be. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, complementing the delicious base. While the service might be a bit slow during peak times, the pizzas are definitely worth the wait. Don't forget to save room for their delicious Italian desserts!

  Amazing real authentic Neapolitan pizza in the heart of Amersfoort. They have in- and outdoor seating, lovely to sit outdoors on a sunny day. The food is great and really has the Neapolitan taste - as the ingredients are real Italian and they have a trade mark. Staff is kind, friendly and thoughtful. The place itself is clean too and would highly recommend this place when in Amersfoort.

  How will I explain to people that the best pizzeria I’ve ever been in wasn’t in Italy, London, Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, etc, but in Amersfoort…?

  Always good to stop by here, if you are looking for traditional neapolitan pizza, this is the place. All the classics are here and all the options are what should be expected. Their wine selection is not long but all of them are great choices. Consider getting the aperitivo misto as a starter as it has a great selection of cuts as well as preserved olives which are delicious. The decoration of the restaurant is simple yet elegant. The location is unbeatable being so close to the city center and with views to the canal. The staff was very professional and always ready to help. Definitely one of the best pizza places in Amersfoort.
