  Honestly the best crust I’ve had in a longggg time! Pizzas were soooo good and the atmosphere was so cozy and warm with the fire in the pizza oven crackling as background noise. There is a one drink per person minimum just fyi. Owner and staff were soo friendly and spoke to us in English about his time in the US. Definitely recommend and would come back!

  This pizzeria was the inspiration that sparked my entire pizza-making journey! I first discovered Pizza Verde Matsumoto last year, and the experience was so extraordinary that it motivated me to start making pizza myself back home in Germany – since I couldn’t exactly hop on a plane to Japan whenever a craving hit! This year, I had the chance to return to Japan, and visiting this place again was absolutely non-negotiable. Once again, I was blown away by the quality. The pizza is outstanding, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They’ve made both of my visits truly memorable experiences. If you’re in Matsumoto, don’t miss this gem. Unreservedly recommended!

  The food here was amazing. We ate here 3 nights in a row and tried a large range of menu items. Some of the highlights for us were the roast chicken, beef, all of the pizzas and especially the apple dessert pizza. The pizza was probably the best in have eaten. The staff here are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant felt clean and homely. We walked out of there will full belly’s and full hearts.

  The restaurant is small, messy, dirty. In one of the pizzas, we found a piece of cardboard. We don't drink alcohol but had to order a soft drink each as the cover charge. The pizza was just ok. Nothing to write home about unfortunately. The toilet is also a bit crammed and dirty. Ran out of soap too, so I had to ask the front for some. Worth the price and mandatory drinks? Hel nah...

  Pizza Verde Matsumoto is one of the best pizza places in Japan!🍕🍕🍕😋. This spot has some serious pies! However, the restaurant is very small and reservations are recommended! They cook their pizzas in a real wood burning pizza oven as well! The service can be pretty slow at times and it can take a while to get your food!

  This is a lovely little pizzeria with a lot of Italian decoration and even music. There is a large variety of pizzas to choose from (you so this by a tablet which I personally find very convenient). There are vegetarian options, too as well as antipasti and salads. The pizza is neapolitanian style with a thicker dough. The ingredients are fresh and authentic. The staff is really friendly and you will directly feel comfortable and enjoy the delicious food. We recommend this place 100%

  You can see why this place is ranked as hight as it is! Simply superb. Small, friendly, homely. In fact just like Mamma use to make. Very few covers so get there early. And then get ready for a pizza extravaganza cooked before your eyes in the biggest pizza oven this side of Chicago. Lovingly cooked to pozza perfection we were in heaven. All washed down with a superb bottle of Italian something. Go go go. Trust me. I'm a Dr.
