  Our family had a wonderful meal during our stay in Madrid. We are still thinking about the delicious food. The ambiance was perfect, and service was great.

  Oven Ristorante, Madrid – Calle Preciados 11 ⭐⭐ (2/5) Ambiance: ✅ Excellent A beautifully designed restaurant with great air conditioning – a true refuge from the Madrid heatwave. The place was only about 15–20% full, which makes what followed even harder to excuse. Service: ❌ Deeply Disappointing We were seated quickly, drinks arrived promptly, and the order was taken without issue – a promising start. Then came the silence. A full 30 minutes passed with zero communication from the staff. No updates, no apologies, no one checking in. When I politely approached a waitress – who wasn’t even our server – to ask about our order, the response was shocking: dismissive, rude, and completely unprofessional. I was made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying guest who had been waiting patiently. The irony? Our food arrived within thirty seconds of that exchange. The kitchen was clearly ready – the failure was entirely in the front of house. Food: ✅ Good The Carbonara Originale and La Estrella de Oven were both enjoyable. The Focaccina Mediterra was a decent starter. Pricing is reasonable at around €30.88 per person including drinks. Bottom Line: A restaurant with real potential, let down by poor service and staff with no basic sense of hospitality. The food and setting deserve better. Until the attitude toward guests improves, it’s hard to recommend.

  Horrible service. Late to take our order at table. Appetizer came same time as dinner. Luke warm and no silverware to eat our pasta dishes. We told waitress we had no silver then she went to a few tables over and took a while to take their order- while we are staring at our food with no silver. There was no pesto for caprese salad. All around just no good. I should probably give 1 star. Disappointing dinner after long day of travel.
