We tried to eat today...and we are disappointed for many reasons that I going to describe: 1. We didn't know that you have to booked. (Probably our fault, for don't have enough information about the place). Anyway, after a while waiting for a table; they offered us a tiny table in the middle of 2 gigantic ones... literally was so tight. I could understand if the place was crowded, but was almost empty. 2. They just were brought us a sparkling water bottle and that was all. We waited more than 20 minutes that someone take us the order and nobody stoped to do it, the waitresses just looking us and they decided ignored us!!! 3. While we were waiting for someone get our order, arrived 3 families... surprising the ycould order before us, again...we arrived first. I don't recommend this place at all, when you're a foreign tourist.

Food and service were top level. We ordered a bunch of different dishes. Steak, pork tenderloins, pizza and seafood appetizers (haha, don't judge) The pizza dough was very good... nice and light.

This restaurant is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Good size portions of local produce. The caprese salad was delicious and the antipasti to share was an absolute feast. The prawns were huge and fresh.

The food was exceptional. Pizza was delicious and the dessert was tasty. The best part may have been the service. Extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Il Garum** in Bacoli, here is a high-quality draft that captures its unique location and the authentic Phlegraean flavors. ### **Title: A Hidden Gem with a View in Bacoli!** **Rating: ★★★★★** If you are looking for an authentic taste of the Campi Flegrei, **Il Garum** is an absolute must-visit. It is truly a "hidden gem" right in front of your eyes—perfectly situated with a stunning view over the Villa Comunale and Lake Bacoli, yet it feels like a private escape from the more crowded tourist spots. **The Atmosphere:** The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between cozy and refined. Whether you sit in the welcoming indoor rooms or out on the terrace overlooking the lake, the vibe is relaxed and intimate. It’s the kind of place that feels high-end without being pretentious. **The Food:** This is where Il Garum truly shines. The freshness is unmatched—don’t be surprised if you see a local fisherman walking in with the "spasella" (daily catch) while you're at your table! * **The Seafood:** The *sword fish with crustaceans* and the *jumbo shrimps are standout dishes that taste like the Mediterranean sea. * **The Signature:** You have to try the *Vermicelli al Garum* for a modern take on ancient flavors. * **The Pizza:** , the pizzaiolo, is a master. The "La Garum" pizza is a fantastic fusion of local ingredients. **The Service:** Gennaro and his team run the floor with genuine passion and "umiltà" (humility). You can tell this restaurant was a dream realized; the service is attentive, warm, and makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. **Verdict:** Don’t just pass by the Villa Comunale—stop here. Whether it's for a long seafood lunch or a sunset dinner by the lake, Il Garum is easily one of the best dining experiences in the Naples area. **Pro Tip:** It’s just a two-minute walk from the **Piscina Mirabilis**, so it’s the perfect spot to refuel after exploring the Roman ruins!
