Pizza Lovers say: "Authentic wood-fired dough, fresh ingredients, and excellent wine selection. Some pizzas can be a bit wet or dry, and vegetarian options are limited."

Forno Rosso gives that authentic, wood fired, straight from Italy energy. The pizza options are actually interesting (not just basic pepperoni). I got the Veneto pizza. While it was a bit dry for my taste, the ingredients were super fresh and high quality. Adding some spicy oil definitely helped bring it together. The beet salad was elite and chef’s kiss. The strawberry martini was dangerously good. I am obsessed with the tiramisu here which is actually one of the best I’ve had. I would go back just for that. Customer service was okay. I spilled a little of my drink and when I asked for napkins they handed me a wet rag and I ended up wiping the table myself 😭 like okay teamwork I guess? They do have really nice outdoor seating when the weather’s good, which is a vibe.

Pizza was okay (veggies were fresh, satisfying amount of cheese) but nothing spectacular for the price and size. Disappointed that the menu doesn’t have many vegetarian options - I’m sure you could request to hold the meat but then you’re overpaying for something you’re not receiving. Wish they had exclusively vegetarian pizzas that were priced accordingly (beyond the Ortalana or Margherita - any version of the latter is boring). I ordered to go but the inside looks cute and I’m sure the patio in the summer is nice. The staff were friendly.

Taste is super good. Friends and I got prosciutto, tre carne, and marg. Tre carne was super wet but apparently this is how Italian pizza is supposed to be (it did not take away from the flavor). The pizzas were large, friends had plenty of leftovers. Service was super nice. Not many tables though but wasnt an issue.

Great dough! Love their thin crust pizza! And their tomato sauce. Gnocci was very good! They also definitely know how to pick their wine! Their white wine were excellent

Only had 5hr layover in Chicago. Not a fan of the famous deep dish pies. More so a big fan of fire oven, classics, all fresh & natural ingredients. I chose the Ortolana, a Lemoncello Margarietta. Absolutely phenomenal! Wasn't disappointed and glad I spent my short time in Chicago enjoying ourside on thier deck, the food, my drinks and great service from my waiter. He is very attentive to all his customers. A great evening all to myself! I highly recommend and can also say, that pizza IS the best! Texture, color in the undercarriage. The cheese maintains that ooze as it cools & it's flavor. The flavors of the herbs & veggies popped and I forgot I didn't ask for Pepperoni. That was on me. However, I didn't notice or care. I loved it just as it was! A lovely atmosphere. Something I would return to if given the opportunity.

Used to LOVE this place, their roasted beet salad was amazing. Went today, and it was mediocre at best. The sliced beets have been replaced with a few diced beets, much less goat cheese, a pistachio or two, and two orange segments. Charge more if you have to, but don’t ruin the dish by skimping on every ingredient.

i wish i had a photo of the great lunch we had here. It was the best Arancini i have eaten since i was in Italy. Their salad was very fresh and the pizza a bit different than i am used to in New York but very flavorful.

Bought back memories of living in Italy. It was my idea of authentic pizza, not what we get here. My companion preferred American style. I told her it was good we skipped pizza in Naples last November because this was what we would have gotten.

Unfortunately, all our pizzas were badly cooked. The edge of the pizza was raw and the cheese did not melt at all. This pizza place is a VPN Member and should meet at anytime the minimum standard requirements in order to comply with the regulation.
