  Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. We had a 2 year old with us and they were very accommodating. They had both a highchair and booster seat available. Our cocktails were fun and tasty. We ordered the focaccia for an appetizer. The ricotta that came with it was delicious. Our main dishes were the bucatini, the rigatoni, pizza and January Pasta special. All were very good.

  Went for restaurant week and enjoyed the food! The hazelnut sauce with the pork was incredible, and the octopus flatbread was 10/10. All desserts hit. My favorite was the lemon ricotta fritelle. Staff were very kind and attentive to allergies and dietary restrictions. Shoutout to Louis and Jesús who made us feel welcome. Give CDV a try!

  Coda di Volpe delivered an excellent experience. The service was outstanding—while celebrating the purchase of our new home, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine after ordering one, which was a thoughtful and generous touch. The food was very good, especially the cacio e pepe pasta, which was amazing, and the chocolate dessert was absolutely unforgettable. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Highly recommend.

  My daughter chose this restaurant for us to celebrate my belated birthday. Despite having 8:45p reservations, our table was not ready and we waited and additional 20 minutes. Management graciously offered a glass of bubbles for the inconvenience. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly and efficient. The mocktail selection was creative which I appreciated. More than juice, soda, and a garnish. We opted for the salami and cheese board. We were underwhelmed with the selection of cheeses. They all seemed very similar. It would have been nice for the person delivering it to explain what was what on the board. We had hoped to try the Tartufo Pizza but they were out so we went with the Margherita and added fennel sausage. Great flavor but I wish the crust was just the tiniest bit crispier. Unfortunately I don't remember the pasta we shared, but it had well-balanced flavor with a touch of heat to it. Dessert was fine but I had hoped to have been a bit more impressed by it. It was a good meal overall, but a few misses here and there prevents a full five-star review.

  In our search for the best neopolitan style pizza in Chicago, Coda di Volpe is certainly a hit. My partner really enjoyed her gluten free focaccia style pizza and my margherita with sausage was equally delicious. Fantastic crust! Surprisingly classy and upscale ambiance. Our server was decent but the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night and our drinks sat empty for quite a while. Their pastas looked delicious and warrant another visit!

  We were a family group of 8, ranging in age from 81 down to 5. I made our reservation about 4 weeks in advance. We arrived a little early on a Friday night, so had a short wait. Soon after the time of our 6:30 reservation, we were seated at a long table near the windows. Our waitress was most helpful, giving us time to discuss what to order over drinks and offering suggestions for the food and the wine. We started with 2 of the excellent pizzas, plus 2 more appetizers and 2 orders of salad which we all shared. The meatballs (4 to an order) in a red sauce were especially tasty. Then each person ordered a pasta dish, followed by a couple orders of tiramisu and dishes of ice cream for the kids. The tiramisu was enormous; after such a big meal, it was enough for 3 or even 4 people. It was also delicious. Service was smooth and competent. Food started arriving soon after it was ordered. The meal was well-paced. The atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable; even thought the restaurant was full and bustling, it was not too loud for conversation. Everyone had a fine time, ate well and left feeling this place was a perfect choice for us.

  I went her with my daughter and her family and the restaurant catered to the young grandchildren with buttered kids pasta and cranberry juice in kids cups with cute straws. The service was excellent. My daughter got a strawberry cocktail and my son-in-law and I got glasses of wine. We ordered a basic pizza with red sauce and mozzarella and the grandkids shared some. The adults also shared an arugula salad, the corn and truffle arancini (delicious) and the Maccheroni e Pece (pasta). The food was very good or better.

  Met a friend here for dinner on a weeknight. The area, Southport Avenue, is a strong retail and neighborhood corridor, so even on a weeknight it was busy and fun, as was the restaurant. We had a good experience at the restaurant. It's got lovely decor and feels like a hip neighborhood establishment. Service was welcoming and friendly. Cocktails were delicious, and there was a nice wine selection. The menu is elevated Italian, with a heavy dose of seafood, in addition to pastas. We started with a couple of great appetizers. There was then a long delay before the main courses. Our server noticed this proactively, and the manager came over to apologize and offered us a free round of cocktails--that is the way restaurants should handle such things! Our entrees arrived and were perfectly prepared. Overall, a nice experience. I would happily return.

  We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday because they have good gluten-free options for my celiac girlfriend. As an appetizer, we split a gluten-free margarita focaccia bread/pizza. I’m sure it could’ve been a meal on its own. My girlfriend enjoyed the gluten-free pasta as well. I had the super diavola pizza. Originally I wasn’t going to get a pizza but I saw that they are nationally renowned and everybody’s pizza around me just looked so good. It was fantastic with a thinner crust and packed full of flavor. The service here was great. They were very attentive and quick to assuage any concerns about gluten cross-contamination. My girlfriend felt very safe eating here and it made for a lovely date night.

  Visited the restaurant on Saturday for dinner and had a really terrible experience! Started with their cocktails and they served us one with Chili Bitters! Unfortunately it was not stirred so almost choked with a burst of Chili flavor! Next we ordered the Grilled Octopus salad ! The Octopus was fine but the salad had red chilly in it and was extremely spicy! The Argula and Prosciutto Pizza was just OK and we had the Tiramisu which was terrible! Really sweet and a frozen variety like you could pick up at a grocery store! The bathrooms were surprisingly dirty with toilet paper all over the floor! The music is loud and the conversation noisy … hard to hear across the table what your partner is saying! Expensive at $ 50 plus per head for a Pizza dinner! Yet another neighborhood restaurant unable to accommodate the Saturday evening crowd!
