  We enjoyed our recent meal here so much that we came back a second time! The restaurant was cosy and inviting, the staff made us feel at home right away. Their simple menu features many local specialties and every one that we tried was delicious. I also appreciated how many dishes could be prepared gluten free. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for elegant, regional Italian cuisine.

  Good food at Umberto's and good prices. The place looks fancy when you enter. They have a lot of waiters and the service is very fast. We ordered Fritura Italiana and 2 pizzas. My pizza frita maybe was missing some filling, but it was tasty anyway. Also, another good thing is that they don't charge you 'coperto'. Something atypical at nowadays. I recommend it!

  The service we received was excellent. No denying it. We ordered a pizza to start and it was excellent as well. We both ordered the Genovese pasta and were not blown away by it. It was good but not great. Probably because up to this point, we had had pasta dishes that blew our minds away!

  Famous Neapolitan restaurant which you should visit while in Naples. Authentic dishes with a rustic/artsy decor. Attentive service and great selection of wine and traditional Italian cocktails. A must if you in the area.

  We had a starter each (baby octopus with tomato sauce and italian fried snacks) and a main course (stuffed squid and 3 small pizzas), plus drinks Food was good, service quick! Stuffed squid was really tasty! Tender meat and the inside had an interesting sweet (raisin) and sour taste (olives and other stuff)...the 3 small pizzas were a surprise because we certainly didnt expect pizza to look like that..or maybe it is just my bad Italian..anyway, food is good I was mostly impressed by the age of this place and the building itself: walls are very thick :)

  A historic venue in the heart of Chiaia in the Baretti area, which fortunately retains its style and quality, increasingly rare in a city where dining has adapted to the tourism trend, making it very difficult to find good cuisine, polite staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. We had pizza, and it was an excellent choice because they make a traditional pizza here that is now very hard to find, and I can say it is delicious as well as very easy to digest (I waited until this morning to write the review!). The desserts are also genuine; in particular, I had a berry cheesecake that was truly top-notch!!! Congratulations to Massimo and the whole family for resisting trends and for making us proud to be Neapolitan.Read more

  While visiting the Palazzo Mannajuolo, we asked the doorman where we could eat a true Neapolitan pizza without wasting too much time. With a confident air, he pointed us to this century-old restaurant… and we must say that the advice was spot on! Upon our arrival, we found a very kind and super helpful staff, capable of pleasing both pizza lovers and those who wanted to try something else. In the end, we let ourselves be tempted by a fantastic fried dish of anchovies and squid to share, then the fried pizza "grandma's filling" recommended by a waiter (who deserves full marks!), classic DOP pizza (for me), and an excellent plate of pasta "paccheri with amberjack." The grand finale? A true Neapolitan coffee, one of those that makes you want to stay a little longer. We will definitely return: Rome is close, and every now and then we treat ourselves to a day trip to stroll in this beautiful city.Read more

  Quality food in the Neapolitan tradition. However, overrated fame for a historic restaurant that has lost the tradition of hospitality. The Neapolitan warmth and hospitality typical of the south... forgotten. shame. Dinner with friends... but we will not return. And we'll tell the others, too. Disappointment after a tradition of hospitality and history of catering.... elegance and grace... are no longer at home here.
