We visited Pizzeria Nuovo Mondo, a small neighborhood pizzeria where locals don’t hesitate to stand in a twenty‑meter line just to get a pizza. After eating here, we completely understand why. The pizza is simple, authentic, and genuinely good: a light dough, fresh ingredients, and that unmistakable flavor you only find in places loved by the locals. The other dishes, such as the rigatoni with oxtail sauce, were also well prepared and tasty. The restaurant is small, informal, and always busy, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. The service is quick and friendly, even with the constant flow of customers. Overall, a positive and authentic experience. Definitely a place worth trying — and after eating here, we understand perfectly why the locals are happy to wait in line.

Absolutely awesome pizza spot! 🍕 Whether you choose to dine in or grab a takeaway, the quality is always spot on. The pizzas are fresh, loaded with toppings, and perfectly cooked. There is always a big queue — which just shows how popular and good they are. Highly recommend! 😋

An awesome place, more for locals than tourists. It was very crowded — we waited about 1.5 hours, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, and the pizza was top-tier, truly outstanding. Great quality, low prices, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re willing to wait.

Great Roman pizza place. Simple and tasty. We liked tuna and onion pizza the most. If you come later than 19:00 it is highly possible to queue

One of historically best Roman pizzerias that offer full menu of different Roman dishes besides the best pizzas in Rome. Located in beautiful Testaccio neighbourhood. No reservations… gets quite busy so make sure you arrive on time not too late. Perfect place for authentic experience plus it’s NOT TOURISTIC 🥂

We visited Rome with my 10-year-old foodie son. We came for pizza, for our local Air b&b hostess suggested the place. The atmosphere on a Thursday evening at nine was quite hectic, but it suits the place: genuine and straight-forward food, service and entity. Apparently lots of locals (adults and families with children of different ages), and tourists. Even though the feeling was busy, and we expected to be served with some arrogance as tourists among residents, our waiter was as unpretentiously friendly as the restaurant’s food. No extra friendliness, though, or any chitchat about homecountries etc., but good service. We came back the next day for take away pizzas for the night. They were delicious, too. Thank you, we’ll come back.
