  We accidentally found this place after two days of eating at many “recommended” restaurants in Rome and honestly being a bit disappointed with Italian food. We kept wondering, is this really what Italian cuisine is supposed to be like? Then we came here — and it completely changed our minds. This was hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my life. The dough was perfect, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and every bite was amazing. If you are in Rome and want to understand how good Italian pizza can actually be, this place is a must. After trying so many places, this was the one that truly impressed us. Highly recommended!

  ​I honestly loved the food here. We started with a mix of fried goodies—the Supplì, Olive Ascolane, and Baccalà—and they were all really good. A great start to the meal! ​The pizza is the real star, though. The variety is huge, and it’s proper Roman style: thin and super crunchy. The taste was fantastic. We finished off with the Tiramisu, which was good (solid, though not the most outstanding I've ever had). ​Just a heads up on the vibe: it is chaotic and very noisy, so don't expect a quiet romantic dinner. Also, be prepared to wait; there was a gap of time between our starters and the pizzas arriving. ​Note: Booking is very very recommended. Don't forget to reserve! This time was less chaotic and the service was much better (because there were less people in the restaurat). Howevere the suplli this time was too salty but the pizza (this time I asked for the 4 stagione) was really really good. For dessert I asked for another one suggested by the waiter (I dont remember the name) and it was extremely sweet). If i come back i just would do it for the real outstanding pizza.

  This is THE BEST pizza you will eat. We later went to Naples and tried all the famous pizzas and NOTHING came close to this one. Also the tiramisu is the best you will have. Just trust me. This was recommended to us by the locals. There are no tourists there. Just families eating the best, honest food Rome can offer. Pizza was so good I didn’t get to take a picture.

  It’s a different, more local experience, with nothing fancy in terms of service. If you can go in with that mindset, you’ll have the best experience of all. The food is delicious — we ordered two pizzas, and the wine is very casual. The tiramisu dessert was generously served and absolutely tasty. Our waiter’s service was exceptional; he was very busy since the place is always full, but he was quite funny, with a bit of heavy-handed humor, yet very kind. I would definitely come back again for both the flavor and the overall experience.

  This is a local favorite and deservingly so. They are serious about their pizza and the first bite solidifies any opposition. The house wine was not as full as other local Hosteria’s but that can be appreciated as well. My choice of sausage pizza was very distinct as the freshness stood out each bite. Service was speedy and receptive to my intermediate level Italian skills. As soon as I was seated a +20min line formed. So yes, I’d say take the time and enjoy some pizza romana

  Best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Super thin base, creamy mozzarella and just the right amount of tomato sauce. Crazy, noisy, frenzied place with very basic decor but totally authentic and full of locals.
