My friends and I had been wanting to try this place for a while but couldn’t get a reservation, so we decided to go right when they opened at 4 PM on a Thursday and we were seated immediately! The host and our server let us know we would need to finish by 5:30 PM, which was more than enough time for a relaxed dinner. The restaurant itself was very charming, especially with the dim lighting, which created a cozy atmosphere. Our server could tell we had done our research and shared our excitement about being there, which made the experience even better. We started with the hazelnut espresso martinis, and they were amazing, the hint of hazelnut was perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we ordered the Caesar salad, which was well-dressed, and the croutons truly made the dish with their perfect texture. We also tried the mozzarella sticks, which could’ve used a little more salt, but were still delicious. I was most excited for the vodka pizza, and it did not disappoint. The tavern-style crust was perfectly crispy, and the spicy pork sausage on every slice added so much flavor. We finished with the chicken parmesan, which was perfectly cooked, and the spicy vodka stuffed shells. The ricotta was light and fluffy, and the pasta practically melted in my mouth. We were too full for dessert this time, but we’ll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend coming here! Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience.

LOVED our first time at Dimmi Dimmi! From the ambiance, to the service and food… everything was top notch. The pizza, mozzarella sticks and clams were superb, but the vodka stuffed shells? Next level! Our server Olivia was incredible - so kind, attentive and hospitable. She truly made us feel like regulars - like we had been coming there for years. We can’t wait to come back!

I’ve seen this place all over social media so I was a bit worried it might be overhyped. But actually, it blew me away!!! It is 100% worth all the hype it’s getting. Our server Ronni was so fantastic and guided us through the best parts of the menu. The standouts to me were the Italian Beef Carpaccio (we ordered a second because we loved it so much!), orecchiette tarantino, and Farrell alfredo. Special shoutout to the Caesar salad which had a super bright and lemon forward dressing with the best croutons. Service was immaculate, and especially friendly and welcoming. We had touch points with multiple staff all night and all were very pleasant experiences. The vibe inside was cozy and warm. For dessert our favorite was the chocolate cake! We also tried the limoncello which was perfectly zingy and sweet. Really enjoyed our time and Ronni was the best!

I made a reservation about a month in advance and was really looking forward to trying this place. Overall, the experience was just okay. The food was average at best. The vodka sauce pizza and the meatballs were definitely the highlights and we really enjoyed those. However, the pastas and entrées were pretty average and did not stand out in terms of flavor. The tiramisu, though, is a must try and was easily the best part of the meal.

This place has a great vintage cozy vibe with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. We sat at the bar and had excellent service the whole night. The focaccia with the relish tray was fresh with a nice balance of sweet and savory. The Dimmi Salad was light and refreshing, and the polenta was rich and creamy. The Hamachi Crudo Diavolo was fresh and flavorful, and the vodka pizza had the perfect thin, crispy, chewy texture. The chicken parmesan was crispy and tasty, and I took the Orecchiette Tarantino to go based on the bartender’s recommendation, which was a great call. The hazelnut espresso martinis were a highlight. Smooth and foamy with just the right touch of sweetness and nuttiness, and they even offer a decaf option. We finished with the chocolate cake, which had layers of chocolate mousse and a light crunch from the crispies, a great way to cap off the meal. Overall, really good food, great drinks, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

Had the opportunity to have dinner with family while in Chicago. Total 5 star experience. From the appetizers to the dessert…everything was amazing. THe crispy rice with tuna…OMG! The fresh spring bow tie pasta and each dessert was crazy good. And don’t skip the hand stuffed blue cheese olives with an ice cold martini. Will be headed back on my next trip to the Windy City.

We went on a Sunday at 3:15 when they only had pizzas available, so we sat at the bar and had drinks and pizza, which was fabulous if you like thin crust pizza. And then we waited for the dinner menu to come out at 4p or so and ordered more food. It was packed by the time we left at 5:30 or so. Food was amazing. The bartenders were so fun and friendly and interesting! And the ambience is just fun and lively. Would definitely go back.

This restaurant checks all the boxes…. Excellent food and service in a cozy setting. Drinks were recommended by our server and the cocktails were outstanding. The Vespa and the Sour were unique and well made and went down smoothly . The focaccia with ricotta and honey was a nice pairing with our drinks and the Carpaccio aka Italian Beef was excellent. Our Vodka pizza had njuda which gave it a great kick atop the tavern style crust. I’d return just to pick one up! Despite so much food so far, we continued on with the special farafella with mushrooms…. A silky dish with just the right amount and mushroom flavor to have made it our favorite of the evening. And the Chicken Parmigiana…. So thin and well prepared with a wonderful balance of cheese and red sauce. I’m glad I was too full to indulge in the chocolate cake which was definitely a guilty pleasure….. my tablemates loved it. I did find room for some sorbet which had some unusual flavors and was a great way to end the meal. Service was excellent with great suggestions and table service. Lots of folks checked in on us as we enjoyed a truly delicious dinner. It’s definitely worth all the praise it’s receiving and we hope to return soon.
