  A lovely spot right by the seaside with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. The presentation of the food was appealing and clearly some thought had gone into it. That said, the dishes themselves could have used a bit more love in terms of flavour and execution. A nice experience overall, but there’s room for improvement in the kitchen.

  Tasty food, very good service, beautiful interior. I liked the toilet too. I like good quality for any service I pay and Basta is really that. Prices are good. I can only recommend.

  It was one of the best experiences when it comes to bars in Croatia. We stopped by on our way to Split. Makarska is so beautiful that we wanted to stay overnight, and the overall experience of this bar made it even better. The cocktail with yuzu was so refreshing that I had to have two. I could tell they pay attention to detail, and they are proud to be a professional gourmet cocktail bar. The pizza that the table next to us ordered looked great, too. I highly recommend this place.

  Great Italian located on the main stretch in Makarska Croatia. Came with friends and ordered a selection of Italian dishes including calzone, pizza and pasta. Food was exquisite and tasty. Cooked to perfection. Lots of seating available and we didn't need to make a reservation. Service was speedy and friendly. Would highly recommend if in the area.

  A place worth sitting and enjoying the sunset! The waiters, incredibly polite and helpful, are excellent professionals, always very friendly and cheerful... ice-cold beer, cozy atmosphere... I'll be back here whenever I can... congratulations!

  I’ve been eating my way around Europe the past two weeks and pizza has been the priority. I went early (4:45) to Basta since I didn’t have a reservation and I like to avoid the rush. The workers seemed mildly interested in my existence but never checked on me once during my meal and I waited for a while before catching my server’s eye to get the check. I’ve had more flavorful pizza. Additionally, their website says four deserts and they only have two (both cheesecake). This pizza place was rated higher than another one I’d considered and was closer to my hotel. I’ll leave it up to you whether you go here for pizza.

  This was absolutely amazing, we were 8 people got a nice table without reservation. We ordered pizza and beef, I’m lost for words. The best food I’ve eaten in my life. Tried a lot of the restaurant over the last two weeks, but everything falls short, great experience, fantastic staff and amazing food. No complaints just a dream of eating here again
