  Locals have a very bizarre hatred for this lovely little pizza shop… but we didn't let their unjust prejudices detour us! lol We have ALWAYS enjoyed our visits here… hospitality and service were excellent and the pizza and appetizers we ordered were generous, delicious and memorable. Our family has consistently had great experiences and we highly recommend a visit!

  The grades I would give for this restaurant are as follows: Clean dining area: A Clean restrooms: A Food quality: A+ Service: A+ Wait time to be seated: A+ Wait time to receive food: A Made famous by the movie of the same name, Mystic Pizza has a great selection on their menu. The atmosphere is rustic but perfect for this restaurant. The food is excellent. As a bonus, there are televisions in the restaurant that run the movie 'Mystic Pizza'. The sound is turned down, so children cannot hear the foul language of the movie. This is a definite stop to made when in this area.

  We had visited 5 years ago and as we had an open day on our vacation in Boston, we hired a car and drove the 2 hours to mystic to have pizza and it was totally worth it.

  The food doesn't live up to the hype. I had a small (14") mushroom, onion, sausage pizza. I couldn't taste the mushrooms, the onions were crunchy and good, the sausage was sliced, not ground, and was hotter (spicier) than I would've liked. The crust was OK. My wife had a veggie calzone. She kept commenting on how wet it was. It was so big that we brought half of it with us and put two thick napkins under it to absorb the wetness. Fun nostalgia is everywhere and the movie Mystic Pizza is playing on a loop. Our server was OK, but when we asked her what Mystic Pizzas 'claim to fame' was, she didn't know. We were very disappointed because after we found out we'd be close by we were very excited, but, alas, not that great.

  Location is great. The atmosphere was cool. The food was a 50/50 chance of being good. My husband enjoyed the soup and sausage grinder. I did not enjoy my spaghetti & meatballs. Should drop 'meat' from meatballs at this restaurant and call them 'breadballs'. The best part of my meal was the garlic bread. Anyway...good luck!
