Haven't visited in a few years as we live in Longmont. Forget how excellent it is! Both the pizzas and pastas were spot on. Service was spot on and the restaurant is super cute. The wine program is a bit limited but covers a lot of ground and we found a couple of nice bottles. Now that they back on our radar sure we'll be back more often! A+

The food was mediocre, the service was poor, and the atmosphere was uncomfortably loud for such a small space. I ordered the tortellini, a main dish for $27, which consisted of only eight pieces — over $3 each. They were not “al dente” but simply hard and stale. The pizza was so spicy it was difficult to swallow. Our party of four ordered three pizzas and my tortellini, totaling $132 without drinks or dessert — quite unreasonable for the quality received. To make matters worse, the dessert I wanted (tiramisu) was out of stock. The waiter, who wore a mask throughout service, was asked to provide three separate checks but instead combined the two younger guests’ meals onto one bill, they are cousins not a date. This was awkward & uncomfortable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My family visited this restaurant last night, hoping to have an enjoyable dinner together. Several of us have food allergies (dairy and garlic), so we made sure to notify our server beforehand, as the menu asks. We specifically inquired whether the restaurant could make a pasta sauce without these allergens, as we were not sure if the sauces were pre-made. Our server couldn’t provide an answer immediately and went to check with the kitchen. Unfortunately, she disappeared for nearly half an hour without any communication or updates. When she returned, her response was completely unrelated to our original question. She mentioned that the chicken could not be made without the allergens, which we hadn’t even asked about. After trying to clarify our request, she left again and came back five minutes later to say that no substitutions could be made at all. By this point, we were frustrated by the lack of attention to our request and the long wait. We decided to ask for our bill, only to find that no drink was comped, despite the poor service and the unhelpful experience. It felt like there was a lack of understanding or care for our specific needs. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. If a restaurant can’t accommodate food allergies or make reasonable substitutions, especially when the menu encourages customers to mention them, then there should be better communication and transparency up front. Unfortunately, this experience fell short on both counts.

Beyond terrible experience. Went to Bar Dough on W. 32nd Ave for dinner with my family before heading to a Rockies game, and were not able to eat. We arrived at 4:20PM, and were told that they only had a very limited happy hour menu until 5:00PM. We were also informed that there was no kids menu. We looked at both the happy hour and regular dinner menus and decided we would stay, order some drinks and wait to order from the larger menu. We have a large family of 7, and always order a bottle of wine, a few other drinks, appetizers/salads, dinner and sometimes dessert - and tip well. After sitting down and reviewing the menu further we knew we would need to inform the waitress about some allergies, as the menu stated to do. 5 of us were planning on ordering the same thing, just slightly different due to some allergies. We discussed this with the waitress that 3 of us have allergies, and asked if the piccata sauce could be made dairy free for 1 (most restaurants are able to accommodate this), and onion/garlic allergies for 2. More than a half hour passed before the waitress came back with no real answers. No simple yes or no. At this point we had already been seated for an hour. We again asked if the chef could simply use oil, lemon and cooking wine (if they had this) to make a sauce - avoiding all 3 allergies. She went back to talk to the chef again, and eventually came back to let us know that they could not accommodate. It should be noted that the restaurant was nearly empty - there were 2 small tables outside on the patio (5 people total, and they were already eating), and a couple came in towards the end. That was it. We said we were leaving then, as half of us would not be able to eat. The waitress sent over the hostess to deliver the check. No manager came by to check on us or review anything, and chef didn’t come over to discuss what could be done. Both have happened at numerous restaurants before. Nothing was comped on the check, and automatic gratuity was added. We paid $125 to sit there for over an hour and not have anything to eat. Terrible customer service.

We arrived at the restaurant and the happy hour menu was still active. I quickly ordered Cacio e Pepe for my meal, as it was not on the dinner menu and I really wanted that since it's my favorite Italian dish. We also ordered 2 orders of Fried Ravioli, which was good. When my dish arrived, it was a tiny portion of food, which was fine because I figured that the happy hour portions would be smaller than a dinner portion. It tasted good, but not the best I've had. We also ordered 4 slices of garlic bread (1 ea), which was a large slice each. Plenty of bread. My friend ordered the Wood-Fired Prawns. They came with the heads & tails still attached. She said she wouldn't have ordered them if she knew that the heads & tails would still be attached. My husband removed the heads for her. I ordered Budino for dessert which was really delicious. When the bill came, the Cacio e Pepe was charged at $25! (The happy hour menu price was $15) I brought this to the server's attention & she said that we were charged the dinner menu price. Very disappointing since this dish was not even on the dinner menu. Besides this issue, the food was good overall.
