  Wow what a place the food the staff the whole vibe, I have fallen into the trap before of visiting viral food places in London & it hasn’t lived up to the expectation you would hope for, but this place was definitely worth it & more. everything was exceptional especially the warm bread & hummus I don’t even really like hummus & only tried it because they are famous for it & I know I will crave it for years to come it was beautiful, the meats were succulent & tasty tasty tasty we had the chicken & the lamb. It was my birthday & we got a complementary starter & an exquisite ice cream to finish. I know I sound gushy but believe me it is worth every compliment.

  Superb food , really well cooked and full of flavour - we went for lamb and chicken dishes and both were really good. Located in one of our favourite places to hang out in London The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is just not a fan of the starters and the seating is a bit cramped. In summary average starters , brilliant mains , excellent service but not such comfortable seating. Definitely with a visit though.

  Together with my Brother, his partner and his son, I had lunch for the first time at Berenjack Soho which is located in a most unassuming property in Romilly Street. We arrived just before the Restaurant opened at noon and there was already a queue of people waiting outside. Fortunately we had a booking and these are not easy to secure - particularly for Dinner when it can prove necessary to book 3-6 months ahead! After entering the restaurant, I wondered what the big attraction was as, whilst the decor is distinctively Arabian, it is both cramped and dark - indeed probably has changed very little in the 8 years it has now been operating in Soho? Fortunately, we were allocated a table for 5 (which provided some breathing space) at the rear of the property. Our drinks order was promptly taken by Tate who looked after us very well thoughout our stay. The menu is not extensive (basically dips and BBQ’d meats) and the inclusive lunch one at £35 offers by far the best value. We opted for a selection of dips (the Humus is unusually coloured but tasty!) accompanied by the Sangak & Taftoon flat breads (which should - to my mind - accompany the dips and not be charged separately!) and Chicken & Lamb Kababs. Everything was delicious and not difficult to see why this is such a popular eatery. All in all, undoubtedly an enjoyable experience but - on balance - too cramped and noisy for my liking!
