  Very delicious, probably the most authentic Italian me and my wife have had since we’ve been here. Staff were delightful checking in on us, it was truly a wonderful experience. We had the Chefs choice with 6 courses. The desserts were so good we didn’t even take pictures we just dug in.

  We found this place by accident and what a find. We came really late after a very late flight. The food was so good. We had the carbonara and pasta with ricotta and pesto. Both were delicious. The carbonara was exceptional! Dessert was even better!! The panna cotta was the best dessert I’ve had in a while. The staff were lovely and attentive and the overall vibe was great. 10/10

  One of my favorite dining spots in Rome! Betta, the chef, is a rare talent! There is a ton of research behind every ingredient, and the preparation of every dish. This isn’t the place for you if you’re looking for a touristy kind of experience. But if you are into fine dining, and appreciate the ethics and aesthetics of the food in your plate, you will not be disappointed. The charred vegetables are to die for, the melagodo dessert is amazing.

  Had the Sunday set lunch. There were some family crowd for family party. Starters were alright. Main course we had carbonara, gricia and chicken stew. We also top up a moussaka to share. It looks horrible just like a pile of vomit (sorry to say that) but the photo is there for you to see. Dessert just don’t past the mark. Tiramisu ergghh just not to my liking

  I’ve heard great things about Proloco and I really wished I could give a better rating, but I can’t. Bread comes in a cloth-lined basket with a greasy texture and weird smell. It’s like if they had put it in the dishwasher and the grease got stuck in the cloth. Service was good, but somewhat inattentive. Dishes were modern interpretations of classic Roman dishes, but it was not well executed. Carbonara with crispy pork was the best dish, but still just decent – a bit all over the place. Pasta with chickpeas, lentils and licorice (!) that unfortunately tasted zero. Pizzas are Naples style, and the Margherita looked amazing but was really bland. And the other pizza with oxtail, puntarelle and cacao (!!) was also extremely bland. I wished the restaurant nailed the basics before trying to do innovative cooking.

  Excellent locally-sourced, fresh, organic, farm to table cuisine. Staff were attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for typical “regular menu” Italian cuisine, this might not be the place for you. Nearly each dish we had was incredible (with the exception of carbonara which tasted more like over-salted mac and cheese….but again, not a standard menu type of place).
