Really great little slice. We got a pepperoni with cherry peppers(phenomenal, sweet, pickled, nice spicey kick), and black olives. Crust, the crust was cooked to perfection with the right amount of char for a brick and charcoal oven. Our waiter Chris M was fantastic, fast and accommodating, had our water out within seconds, and grabbed me some parmesean with a smile on his face. The atmosphere was dimly lit(a plus) and had photos of famous people headshots adorning the walls. The tables were well weathered, with names of years worth of patrons lovingly carved into the top. What a great little spot.

Loved this place! The service was great! That coal fired oven and years of experience add up to some incredible pizza! Loved the whole place. We got the john's original on half and added kalamata olives to the other side. There was a line to get in, but it moved quickly and was worth the short wait!

Very friendly staffs and the store vibe feels very cool for tourist like me! I had so much fun looking at photos on the wall, it was like seeing history! Pizza did not disappoint! I normally prefer simple cheese pizza but here, pepperoni was superior! The hint of spice in the pepperoni paired so well with the simple base. Definitely worth the visit if u like pizza.

Really good garlic bread, some of the best! The cheese sticks are ok, average but the dip is delicious and the pizza is sol good. I think my favourite in new york. Their reputation is well deserved.

we came for a slice of authentic nyc pizza, that odd ball “one bite you know the rules” guy rated this place highly, so it was on our list. waited outside in the cold for 30 minutes, once we got inside and so I just have small and tightly packed the places we understood why. No complaints, pizza was great, seeing the guys in the kitchen, hustling pizzas out, and watching their system was entertaining and impressive. Would go back, can see why it’s popular. Definitely helped make our nyc experience with the kids compete

Not sure what Portnoy tasted during his review but the pizza is not very good. I'm from Chicago but in recent years I've started liking NY style a little better than Chicago. Order a pepperoni pizza and the "fifty" pizza, fried zucchini, …

Just made the annual pilgrimage from UK to Johns and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately we only made it once due to the lines due to popularity. Absolutely fantastic pizza as always. Love this place.

We visited John’s Pizzeria (Bleeker Street) for lunch on a cold Tuesday morning. We were in line by 11:10 for the 11:30 opening and I think we were inside by 11:45, certainly part of the first seating but they take in groups so they don’t overwhelm the wait staff. We shared a half carafe of red wine with our #50 (The Fifty) pizza. The pizza was great. The service was very good. The atmosphere was good but the restaurant is nothing fancy. The line to enter was much longer when we left. This is a very popular tourist destination and they charge accordingly. But I recommend going as it is a great pizza and a legendary experience.

Waited an hour in the snow and rain for a table for one. It didn’t disappoint. Had their caesar salad and pepperoni and peppers pizza. It was still delicious the next day. Price point was fair and good customer service.
