I tried this place for the first time just 4 days ago and went back again as soon as I could. Twice in a week, and I would go again. Do not expect a normal pizzeria: this is so much more. It’s an elevated journey through pizza with great dough (including some interesting alternative doughs) and many different cooking techniques. It’s an exploration of taste, with a special regard for the local territory of Abruzzo. Raw materials are top quality, with unusual yet delicious combinations; nothing is boring on the menu and even the simpler choices are amazingly tasty. The craft beer selection is outstanding. Nice ambience, tasteful contemporary decoration and very kind staff complete the experience. Despite the grim location in an ugly suburban area, once you step inside it’s a different world: warm and welcoming. There is some room for improvement (which won’t detract any stars from my review): - better English translations on the menu (many inaccuracies or partial translations) - maybe have an English-speaking waiter attend tables with foreign guests Do not believe the (sparse) negative reviews; it’s a great restaurant and a great experience. I am amazed to see what they pulled off in such a nondescript place, and I am sure they would do wonders in a more appealing location. I wish we had places like this in London.

I recently visited Fermenta and was blown away by the quality of their food. The pizza was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of cheese and toppings. The crust was crispy and flavorful, and the sauce was delicious. The staff …

Fermenta is a must try experience. They have an endless menu of pizzas and although some seem to include too many ingredients, they are well-balanced among each other. They have various pizza doughs available like wholegrain or barley, dependibg on the evening. We chose terra & mare (with raw shrimps amd stracciata. It's very scenic when they spray the orange zest) an this pizza is a MUST TRY. we also had the sottobosco (the smoked mini buffalo mozzarellas are to die for) and one with ragù sauce. Loved it! The restaurant is also very pretty and well decorated.

Without any reason (because there were a lot of empty tables and not indicated as "reserved" when we were leaving), we (2 people) were told that, arriving at 19:30, without reservation, we would need to clear the table by 21:00. During the last 20/30 minutes, we had waiters coming to check if we had already finisher, every 2/3 minutes. Having finished our pizzas, but still with beer in our glasses, we were pressed for desert and coffe. Will avoid coming back
